The Barony of Ynys Fawr invites all to the WinterSouth Variety Festival, a weekend of martial prowess, arts, and revelry held on August 1–2, AS LXI (2026) in Snug, TAS.
Attendees can enjoy heavy combat, rapier, archery, and a communal feast to break the winter chill. Further details and bookings can be found on the Barony of Ynys Fawr's website.

This weekend, the Barony of Ynys Fawr turns the page on one chapter of its history and begins another.

With deep gratitude, we thank Their Excellencies Baron David de Darlington and Baroness Arabella de Darlington for their years of steadfast service to the Barony. Invested in March 2020, they have guided Ynys Fawr through more than six years of growth, challenge, celebration and community, representing the Crown with dignity while fostering the arts, martial pursuits and the friendships that make our Barony so special. Their tenure has been marked by generosity, encouragement and an unwavering commitment to the people of Ynys Fawr. Thank you both for everything you have given to our Barony.

As one pair of coronets is laid down, another is taken up.

We are delighted to welcome Their Excellencies Baron Tosti Vicherovich Bogolyubskiy and Baroness Sybil de Speresholt as the new Baron and Baroness of Ynys Fawr. Already known throughout the Barony for their long service, dedication and willingness to support others, Tosti and Sybil now take on the honour of serving as the Crown's representatives in our lands. Earlier this year they were named as the heirs to the Baronage, and now begin this exciting new chapter in service to our community.

To David and Arabella: thank you for your wisdom, kindness and leadership. May you enjoy a well-earned rest, though we know your service to the Dream is far from over.

To Tosti and Sybil: congratulations on your investiture. May your reign be filled with joy, inspiration, and the strength that comes from the people you serve.

Bookings for Ynys Fawr Baronial Succession
Unfortunately, due to an overwhelmingly positive number of bookings, beyond expectations (based on events over the past 12 months) we now have to cap attendance to the feast on Saturday evening at 80, due to the hall’s seating capacity and catering logistics. This means there are approximately 8 seats left for the feast.
While we do thank everyone who has booked for their enthusiasm and support, we apologise to those who may miss out, and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Their Excellencies the Baron and Baroness of Ynys Fawr and the Lord and Lady of Ynys Fawr would still very much appreciate, and look forward to, your company during the day at the tournaments on Saturday and Sunday.

The Barony of Ynys Fawr calls all to witness a moment of great ceremony and celebration

Join us as we gather in honour and pageantry to witness the stepping down of our current Baronage and the investiture of their successors.

There will be courtly splendour, fine company, and the chance to celebrate all that makes our Barony flourish.

All are welcome to attend this joyous and significant occasion.

Fox Hunt Fencing Tournament, 2 May

This tournament will involve a challenger selecting the weapons the fencer wants their opponent to use, or agreed between the pair, they don’t have to match. People of lower rank or experience will be encouraged to challenge first. Going from least experienced to highest rank. This is to prevent potential perception of dishonourable conduct of experienced fencers picking on newcomers for a ‘cheap win’ and to encourage newer fencers to take initiative. It will be fought as best of three, but the only ones keeping score are the populace!
