🏫✨ What a fantastic Monday morning! ✨🏫

We were thrilled to officially open our newly redeveloped school facilities on Monday. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this exciting milestone with our students, staff and community.

A huge thank you to all of the dignitaries and special guests who joined us to mark the occasion. Your support and commitment to our school community is truly appreciated. 💙

We’re incredibly proud of our new spaces and can’t wait to see our students continue to learn, grow and thrive in them! 🙌

A huge thankyou to Tullia, Hingor, Karen and Wendy who hosted a group of year 7 students at the Sustainability Learning Centre on Wednesday.

We had a great day, exploring the centre, competing in a challenge about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, eating a delicious lunch and then printing our own Boomerang Bags (some students even sewed their own bag!).

💛 A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO OUR TEACHER ASSISTANTS! 💛

Today we’re celebrating the incredible people who support our students, staff and school community every single day.

From helping students navigate the tough moments, celebrating the little wins, bringing calm to the chaos and somehow being in five places at once… you make a HUGE difference. 🙌

Your patience, care, encouragement and willingness to jump in wherever you’re needed does not go unnoticed.

🌟 Thank you for everything you do. We couldn’t do it without you! 🌟

📚✨ And just like that… Book Week is done! ✨📚

What a way to finish the week! We loved seeing our students AND staff getting into the Book Week spirit — although we’re not entirely sure what happened to some of the staff members… 🤔

We had The Lorax keeping an eye on things 🌳, Trunchbull making sure everyone was behaving 😬, The Gruffalo roaming the school 🐾, Dolores Umbridge presumably issuing unnecessary rules 🩷, Thing 1 & Thing 2 causing the usual chaos 💙❤️, The Cat in the Hat turning up uninvited 🎩 and Batman… because apparently Gotham wasn’t keeping him busy enough. 🦇

And that’s just the beginning! There were plenty of other fantastic costumes, characters and questionable wardrobe choices throughout the day…. 😬

A huge thank you to everyone who dressed up, got involved and helped make Book Week such a fun celebration of books, creativity and a little bit of chaos! 📖💫

🏫 Redevelopment Opening – Monday 31 August

On Monday 31 August, we will be celebrating the official opening of our school redevelopment with the Minister for Education, Jo Palmer, and special guests.

As a result, student and community access to the Front Office will be via the former front-of-school Administration area (Term 1) until 11.00am.

Thank you for your understanding while we celebrate this exciting milestone for our school! 🎉

⭐️ REMINDER – BOOK WEEK DRESS UP DAY TOMORROW! ⭐️

Come to school dressed as your favourite book character and celebrate Book Week with us! 📚

🔎 Also, keep your eyes peeled at recess… 100 pictures of Cosgrove’s support dog Barney will be hidden around the school! 🐾

The student who finds the most Barney pictures will win a book prize AND a canteen voucher! 🏆

Turning generosity into kindness!

Our Textiles class recently had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Glenorchy Salvation Army to donate toiletry bags made by our students. We learnt about the vital work the Salvation Army does in our community.

The materials used to create the bags were generously donated to our school, and we wanted to continue that spirit of generosity by giving back to our local community.

Each student-made toiletry bag was filled with essential items and included a handwritten positive affirmation — a little reminder that someone cares and that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Last week, our students participated in the Reclink Netball competitions! 🏐

Our students had a fantastic time and played some great netball throughout the day. A special shout-out to our Junior Boys, who finished just 1 point away from making the finals! What an incredible effort!

Well done to everyone who participated and represented our school! 👏
