Good morning Launch into Learning families,

Just a reminder that we are having a teddy bear picnic at this week’s LIL sessions (Friday 4 & Monday 7 September). If you are able to, please bring along a labelled teddy (or plush toy) and a sandwich or snack along with you to this week’s sessions.

We will have our picnic indoors and eat our snacks together at the end of each session 😊.

We look forward to seeing everyone and being introduced to all the teddy bear friends! 🧸✨.

Dear Launch into Learning families,

There will be a Father’s Day stall set up at Launch into Learning tomorrow (28 August) and next Monday (31 August), if you would like to purchase a gift. There will be a range of Dad, Pop and Grandpa gifts available for purchase for $6 each. You will be able to pay with cash or an eftpos machine.

There will also be Father’s Day arts and crafts activities set up which the children can make during the sessions to give as gifts as well 😀.

We look forward to seeing everyone and creating some lovely keepsake gifts for our Dad’s and special guardians!

Dear Launch into Learning families,

Just a friendly reminder that our LIL sessions next Monday (24 August) and the following Monday (31 August) will be held in our Kinder (tuminana) building. This will be a wonderful and exciting opportunity for the children to explore and play in one of our Kinder classrooms.

Sessions run on Friday 28 August and Friday 4 September will run as normal in the luwutina Centre 😀.

Please sign in at the sign in kiosk (iPad) in the luwutina Centre foyer, as you normally would at the start of each session, as we do not have a sign in kiosk located in the Kinder building. Then please make your way over to the Kinder building 😊.

If you are unsure where to go - look out for the blue LIL flag - it will be sitting outside where you enter into the Kinder building. There will also be staff who are running the morning tea tour floating around the luwutina Centre who will be able to direct you where to go 😊.

Thank you for your understanding regarding this. We look forward to the upcoming Book Week and Father’s Day sessions! ✨

Dear Launch into Learning families,

Just a friendly reminder that this Friday (21 August) and next Monday (24 August) is Book Week at LIL. The children (and adults.. 😉) are invited to wear a costume, face mask or even just bring along their favourite book to this week’s sessions.

Let’s spark our imagination and curiosity together, and celebrate reading stories and their power to transport young minds.

We can’t wait to see and hear about everyone’s favourite book character! 🌟📚.

This year’s CBCA theme is: Symphony of Stories.

Good morning LIL families,

If you are able to, could you please bring an art smock from home with you for your child/children to use at this Friday and next Monday’s Launch into Learning sessions.

This week is science week and so we will be having lots of fun participating in a variety of different science experiments and do not want the children’s beautiful clothes to get colour on them.

If you do not have an art smock at home that you can bring, we do have some smocks available for use. However, we cannot guarantee that there will be enough for everyone. Sorry!

Thank you all for such an enjoyable and fun-filled term together! 🌈✨.

Just a friendly reminder that there is no LIL sessions this week or next week due to the Term 2 school holiday break.

LIL sessions will resume on Friday 31 July.

Please keep an eye out on this page for the Term 3 program which will be posted sometime during the first week back next term.

Dear Launch into Learning families,

Just a friendly reminder that the children (and adults… 😉) are invited to wear their pyjamas to this Friday’s LIL sessions.

Let’s get cosy and celebrate the end of Term 2 with a bang!

If you are able to, please bring with you a reusable cup to enjoy a hot chocolate in your pyjamas! However, we will have disposable cups available which can be used if needed 😊.

There will be a variety exciting and engaging activities to celebrate the end of another
wonderful term!

This week is our last week of sessions before the holidays, so we would love to have you join us! ✨

Dear Launch into Learning families,

Just a friendly reminder that we will be visiting the K-6 library for the Scholastic Book Fair during this Friday and next Monday’s sessions 😊.

You will have the opportunity to see what our K-6 library looks like and meet our wonderful College librarian, Mrs Pettit! You will also have the opportunity to purchase a book or stationery from the Book Fair if you wish, but this is completely optional. You can pay with cash or a “tap and go” credit card/phone payment. Every purchase made goes to support our school to buy more books for our library 😊.

We will meet at the luwutina Centre at the beginning of each session and then walk over together to the library. After our visit to the library, we will have a play together on the playground, so please dress accordingly to the weather conditions of each day.

Please note that during the 11:15am-12:30pm Friday session, our schedule for the session is swapped. We will be having a play at the playground at the beginning of the session and will then end our session by visiting the library (due to a class being held in the library at the start of this session).

Just a friendly reminder that there is no LIL sessions tomorrow (5 June) due to the Dominic College Student Free-Day.

Please note that there is also no LIL sessions next Monday (8 June) due to the King’s Birthday Public Holiday.

LIL sessions will resume on Friday 12 June. We look forward to seeing you then! 😊
