Our Lady of Grace School is a Catholic co-educational Reception to Year 6 primary school located in Glengowrie, South Australia.

OLOG is a Catholic school with the Dominican Pillars of Prayer, Study, Community and service that flow into The OLOG Way. A particular focus is placed on Literacy, Numeracy with a one on one device from Year 2 to Year 6 we have a well developed ICT programme. We offer specialisation in Music, Drama and Physical Education and run a comprehensive sports programme both during school hours and after s

chool hours teams including Aerobics, Basketball, Soccer, AFL and Cricket. Being a member of the Southern Region of Catholic Schools, children enrolled from Reception are assured a pathway into Cabra Dominican College, Sacred Heart Colleges or any Catholic High School. It is important to note that parents are responsible for making an enrolment application to their preferred Secondary school.

Father’s Day at OLOG

This morning, our community came together for a special Father’s Day Liturgy, celebrating and giving thanks for the fathers, grandfathers and special father figures in the lives of our children.

Thank you to all of our families who joined us for this special celebration.

We also extend a huge thank you to our wonderful Parents and Friends for all of their hard work in making our Father’s Day celebrations possible, including their fantastic efforts running yesterday’s Father’s Day Stall. We are incredibly grateful for the time, care and energy you continue to give to our school community.

We wish all of our OLOG dads, grandfathers and special father figures a very happy Father’s Day this Sunday!

Touch Football Carnival

Our Year 5/6 students had a fantastic day representing OLOG at the SACPSASA Touch Football Carnival!

It was wonderful to see all of our students getting involved, supporting one another and enjoying the opportunity to compete against other schools.

A special congratulations to our Championship teams on some outstanding results. Our boys finished 2nd overall, while our girls finished 4th overall. A fantastic achievement and something to be very proud of!

Thank you to Mr M and Ms Sharkey for supporting, coaching and encouraging our students throughout the day, and well done to all of our Year 5/6 students for representing OLOG so brilliantly.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Book Week 2026!

This year’s theme, ‘Symphony of Stories’, came to life at OLOG as our students celebrated the joy of books, characters and storytelling.

On Friday morning, our school community gathered for our much-loved Book Week Parade, with students proudly showing off an incredible range of creative costumes inspired by their favourite stories and characters.

It was fantastic to welcome so many parents, carers, family members and friends along to enjoy the parade, catch up over a coffee from the coffee van and share in the celebrations with us.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Book Week such a memorable celebration of reading and storytelling at OLOG!

A heartfelt thank you to the Murray-Charters family for their incredibly generous gift bags for all of our ESOs.

Our ESOs are such an important part of the OLOG community, providing care, support and encouragement to our students each and every day. We are so grateful to the Murray-Charters family for this thoughtful gesture and for recognising the wonderful contribution our ESOs make to our school.

We also extend our thanks to all of our families for their ongoing support and appreciation of our ESOs.

Most importantly, thank you to our incredible ESOs for everything you do. Your dedication, kindness and commitment to our students and our community is greatly appreciated.

Celebrating Catholic Schools Open Week at OLOG

As part of Catholic Schools Open Week, we went straight to the people who know OLOG best, our students!

We asked children across our school what they love about being part of the Our Lady of Grace community. From their friends and teachers to learning, activities and the moments that make each school day special, their answers capture what makes OLOG such a wonderful place to learn and grow.

Bullying No Way Week

This week, our students have been taking part in a range of learning experiences as part of Bullying No Way Week, building their understanding of bullying and the important role we all play in creating a safe, respectful and inclusive school community.

Our Year 5 students took part in a special Kimberlin Education Zoom session with Supercars driver and Bullying No Way Ambassador Chaz Mostert. Students heard from Chaz about bullying, respectful relationships and the importance of speaking up and supporting others.

In our Year 3/4 classes, students unpacked what bullying is, what it can look like and, importantly, what is not bullying. They then worked together to create class posters demonstrating their understanding and sharing positive messages about how we can treat one another with kindness and respect.

These conversations help our students develop the knowledge and confidence to recognise bullying, respond appropriately and contribute to a community where everyone feels safe, valued and included.

Our staff recently gathered at Unley Oval for a special Staff Formation Day, taking time away from our usual routines to reflect, reconnect and refresh as a community.

We began by hearing from Fr John, who invited us to reflect on the importance of synodality and what it means to journey together through communion, participation and shared faith. This was followed by prayer, reflection, scripture, listening and dialogue providing an opportunity to pause and reflect together.

We concluded the day by hearing from our Principal, Josette Charles, who shared reflections and stories from her recent pilgrimage following in the footsteps of St Paul across Europe.

It was a valuable opportunity for our staff to step away from the busyness of school life, strengthen our connections with one another and reflect on the values and shared purpose that guide our work at Our Lady of Grace School.

Yesterday, our OLOG community came together to celebrate the Feast of St Dominic and our rich Dominican tradition.

A special thank you to Sister Anne Burr from the Dominican Sisters at Cabra for visiting OLOG and sharing in our celebrations, and to Fr John for leading our beautiful Mass. We also thank all of the families who joined us throughout the day.

Students loved hearing the story of St Dominic and the hound carrying the torch that lights the world, reminding us of our call to share the light of faith, hope and truth with others.

Throughout the day, students enjoyed spending time with their buddies, taking part in a range of St Dominic’s Day activities and finishing the celebrations by sharing donuts together.

It was a wonderful day of faith, friendship and community, celebrating the values and traditions that continue to inspire life at OLOG.
