Today was a HUGE day at Marayong South Public School.
Thank you to our amazing P and C for all their efforts in the Father's Day Stall. You are all wonderful giving the children the opportunity to purchase gifts for their dads or special person in their life. π
Mrs Hossain and Mrs Tynan took 6 students to Amity College in Prestons for the Maths Cup Challenge. Students worked together to tackle a range of mathematical challenges, using their problem solving skills, teamwork and perseverance throughout the day.
While they didnβt make it through to the finals, three of our students were lucky enough to win some goodies during the Maths Trivia.
A big congratulations to all of our students for representing our school so wonderfully, and thank you to Amity College for a fantastic day. A huge thank you to Mrs Tynan for driving the students to and from the venue. βββοΈπβ
Mr Prentice and Mrs Davis took our Year 4 and Year 5 Indigenous students to ACU in Strathfield for Indigenous Literacy Day. Students had the opportunity to engage in a science workshop, creative writing workshop and an illustration workshop with renowned Aboriginal illustrator Dub Leffler. πͺ
And finally the school executive team engaged in External Validation. Today we had our Director of Educational Leadership- Mrs Joanne Gardiner, Leader, School Excellence Principal Support- Lisa Whitfield and Principal of Wilton Public School- Debra Gray visit our school to make an independent confirmation of the quality practices happening across our school and the positive impact these practices have on our students.
Our youngest learners Ollie, Aadrithi, Ibrahim and Medina did an AMAZING job taking our visitors on a tour of our school, showing them and talking about our wonderful school. ππππ
All these things cannot and do not happen without the support of each and every staff member, student and support from families. For this we are extremely grateful!
