CALLING ALL HELPERS !
Just a quick reminder for our Father’s Day Stall prep day!

For those that can help, we’ll meet tomorrow at 9am at the school office to check in, then head down to the hall, which we’ll have for the day.

Before we start sorting and pricing, we’ll need to unload the stock from the shipping container next to the hall. Not sure how long the stock day will take, but the more hands, the quicker we’ll get it done!

I’ll also do a coffee & snack run at some point to keep us fuelled!

Thanks so much for helping — really appreciate you all!

Reminder! Our Father's Day Stall is Wednesday 2nd September.

Send your kids along with a little cash ($1–$12 gifts, cash only — no card facilities on the day) and they'll pick out something special for the dads, grandpas & uncles in their lives.

Meet Occhi!

We're so excited to introduce Occhi, the newest (and furriest) member of the St Francis community! Occhi is a 2-year-old Labrador and our new therapy dog, here to bring comfort, calm, and a whole lot of joy to our students.

Whether she's curled up beside a child working through a tricky moment, or just soaking up pats at recess, Occhi has a special gift for making our school feel a little warmer.

Why a therapy dog?
Research shows time with a therapy dog can help children:

Feel calmer and less anxious
Build confidence, especially with reading and communication
Develop empathy, patience, and responsibility
Feel supported during tough emotional moments

Occhi is already settling in beautifully, and we can't wait for you to meet her. Welcome to the St Francis family, Occhi!

Next Tuesday at 7pm, 11 August, The Good Shepherd Parish will be hosting the First-Class Relic of St Clare of Assisi, which will be available for all to venerate as we celebrate the feast of this beloved Saint.

Before Mass, there will be a talk presented by Camille Bautista, a 2020 graduate of St Clare's High School who also previously served the school as a teacher's aide. She will be sharing a reflection on the life and witness of St Clare.

The evening is being hosted by Capuchin Young Adults Plumpton, who are guided by the Capuchin Friars (like Fr John) and are made up of St Clare’s HS and St Francis of Assisi Primary Shool alumni. It is a wonderful opportunity during this Jubilee Year of St Francis and the 800th anniversary of his passing to honour the deep friendship and shared spirituality of St Francis and St Clare.
