There's always something creative happening at Plumpton House School! 🎨🧪

This week, our Science Club put their engineering skills to the test with the classic spaghetti and marshmallow challenge. Culture Club explored family heritage by creating meaningful artworks using traditional symbols. Meanwhile, our THRIVE program focused on consent and privacy, with students designing personalised door hangers while learning about respecting themselves and others.

Yesterday, we said a heartfelt farewell to Rachel.

Throughout her time at Plumpton House School, Rachel worked closely with our students, building meaningful connections and making a lasting impact on their education and wellbeing. Her kindness, dedication and support have made a real difference, and she will be greatly missed by both students and staff.

Thank you for everything you've done, Rachel. We wish you all the very best in your next chapter!

NAIDOC Week at Plumpton House School ❤️💛🖤

Throughout the week, our students took part in a range of meaningful activities:
🪃 We started each morning with a Tool Talk, learning about traditional Aboriginal tools and their uses.
🥧 On Tuesday, students enjoyed a bush tucker cooking experience, making crocodile meat pies, kangaroo sausage rolls and Johnny Cakes.
🎨 Wednesday was all about creativity, with students painting stones and boomerangs, learning traditional weaving techniques, and contributing to a whole-school collaborative artwork.
🌿 On Thursday, we spent the morning at Nurragingy Reserve, where students learnt how to throw a boomerang before enjoying morning tea together.
🏃 Friday wrapped up the week with Indigenous sports and traditional games, bringing everyone together through teamwork and fun.

A huge thank you to our incredible Aboriginal Education Committee for organising such an engaging and memorable week. Your time, knowledge and dedication made this week so special for our students.

Footy Colours Day is here!

Our students and staff are proudly wearing their favourite footy colours to help raise money for kids with cancer.

We're excited to share that we're just over halfway towards our $500 fundraising goal! Every donation, big or small, helps make a difference for children and families doing it tough.

⚽ Friday fun at Plumpton House School!

Today we got behind the Socceroos by wearing Aussie colours, making bracelets, and enjoying a taste of Australia and Paraguay. It was a fantastic way to celebrate the World Cup together and show our support for Australia.

Footy Colours Day is coming to Plumpton House School!

Students are invited to wear their favourite sports jersey or team colours and bring along a gold coin donation to support a wonderful cause.

Last year, our school community raised an amazing $350, and we're hoping to go even bigger this year!

Footy Colours Day helps kids fighting cancer stay close to their families and treatment when they need it most. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so via the link below:
