Our Senior Thrive students had the fantastic opportunity to visit Aruma’s Manufacturing Facility in Warabrook as part of our ongoing work connecting with providers and exploring post-school pathways for students with a disability.
The facility produces quality fabrication, engineering and customised metal products, giving our students the opportunity to see first-hand the range of products manufactured by the team and learn more about the skills and roles involved.
A huge thank you to the wonderful Aruma staff for welcoming us, providing an informative tour and sharing the range of employment opportunities and supports available to our students. It was a valuable and inspiring experience that helped our students see the possibilities for their future beyond school!

Today, our 7G Avid Strategies class celebrated the unique strengths within our classroom. Each student took the time to recognise the positive personality traits of their classmates, highlighting what makes every individual special. They then transformed these affirmations into a personalised canvas, showcasing their best qualities. It was a powerful reminder that our differences are our strengths, and that by uplifting one another, we build confidence, connection, and a culture where everyone feels valued.

Last week, Year 9 headed to Blackbutt Reserve for a great day of team challenges, puzzles, wildlife and time spent with friends.
There were games, guitars, plenty of laughs and lots of very enthusiastic action on the adventure playground, because apparently Year 9 are never too old to be big kids!

Back at school, students enjoyed their own fun program of trivia, research, challenges and recreational activities.
A great day all around for our Year 9 students!

Congratulations to our 16 boys soccer team for their fantastic run in the Col Whitney Cup.
This is why we love sport, the highs, the lows, the drama and the lessons we learn!
Today was exactly that. The boys went into the finals full of confidence after their back to back wins previously. For 90% of the first match Glendale dominated Warner's Bay and should have been comfortably winning at half time but for the missed chances. We did however take the lead in the second half and with nine minutes left looked well on our way to victory, however it was not to be our day. A strange own goal, then a wonder strike from the half way line changed the course of the match and the final result. Sometimes in sport the best team doesn't win, and that was certainly the case today.
Glendale however dug deap for the 3rd and 4th place match against St Paul's and again played some outstanding football. We came in at half time leading 1-0 and looked again to be on track to victory however this match also had a strange twist. Two quick goals from St Paul's took them into the lead but as we pushed for the equaliser the match had to be abandoned because of a St Paul's player injury.
Now with the match being abandoned we would have awarded a draw resulting in glendale coming 3rd overall on goal difference. However our Glendale students once again showed how brilliant they are by giving the game to St Paul's due to the unfortunate circumstances!
Gentleman I am immensely proud of your performances, resilience and unquestionable sportsmanship.
Well done
Mr Powell👍⚽️
