The PCS empty-hand curriculum finds its roots in Wing Chun and the concepts of Jeet Kune Do but also encompasses key elements of many other martial arts to present a holistic approach to unarmed combat. Training solely in one form of martial art poses many problems in a real-world conflict (the attackers are NOT only going to fight by your style/rules) and PCS practitioners do not adhere to a fixed "style" of fighting as that position only limits our ability to overcome the threat.
