What we notice goes beyond the worksheet! ๐๐
Something parents donโt always realise is just how much we observe during a Kumon class.
We donโt only look at what a child completes โ we pay close attention to how they complete it.
Alongside staff who mark studentsโ work, we also have staff whose role is simply to observe.
Theyโre watching the child, not the worksheet.
We notice things like:
๐น How confidently they begin
๐น Where they hesitate
๐น How they respond when they make a mistake
๐น Whether they self-correct or become stuck
๐น Their pace, concentration and independence
A completed worksheet may look perfectly fine, while underneath, a child may still be developing confidence or understanding.
Understanding how a child learns helps us identify what they need and support them in the right way. โค๏ธ
