A Star Is Born ✨

Evelyn didn’t just perform — she sparkled. Fresh off winning 1st Prize in the Monash Youth Music Festival Guzheng Solo Competition (Under 10), she’s gone on to shine in two major national and international events.

She claimed 1st Place — Gold Award (Junior Category) at the Star Dunhuang National Guzheng Showcase, after qualifying through the Australia & New Zealand regionals. Then she did it again — 1st Place — Gold Award (Junior Category) at the White Magnolia International Music Festival Finals.

Huge congratulations to Evelyn, and a big cheer for Mum and Dad for supporting her every step.

And a special shoutout to teacher Chen Xue — thank you for guiding Evelyn and helping her shine so brightly.

More magic to come from this little star.

A big round of applause for Oneli, who secured 3rd Place in the Woodwind category at the recent Monash Youth Music Festival! 🎶👏

Such an awesome result out of nine players — we’re super proud of her.

🎉 Celebrating Jade Harmony (MTS' Guzheng Trio): World of Music Prize Winners & 3MBS Interview Invitation

MTS guzheng trio, Jade Harmony, has been awarded the prestigious World of Music Prize at Musica Viva’s Strike A Chord 2026 competition — and we are beyond excited!

Made up of three super‑talented high‑school musicians — Yuxi, Meichu and Hannah — Jade Harmony has shown amazing dedication, creativity and teamwork. Their hard work truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve achieved.

Huge appreciation to teacher Chen Xue, whose guidance and support have been instrumental in Jade Harmony’s journey. Her mentorship truly helped these young musicians flourish.

✨ And there’s more good news — Jade Harmony has been invited for an interview on Radio 3MBS on Friday, 21 August! They’ll be sharing their musical journey and celebrating this milestone with the wider community.
