Every week room 3 children have the opportunity to visit Pilyabilyangga and learn about Land and Country. Today there was building of camp fires, worm investigation and collecting nature, using bark as a vessel. By having nature as our third teacher the wonder and respect the children encounter is life changing.

WE’RE OFFICIALLY A FLYING START PARTNER!

We’re excited to be partnering with the South Australian Government to deliver Flying Start, a 3-year-old preschool program designed to strengthen the quality and equity of early learning.
Flying Start preschool will be available at Waite Campus Childrens Centre from 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝟭 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳.

Children who turn 3 years old before 30 April can start preschool in Term 1.
Children who turn 3 years old before 31 October can start preschool in Term 3.

Focused on age-appropriate, play-based learning the program will be led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher.

The program follows the Early Years Learning Framework and is designed to strengthen children’s development.

As a partner service, we have access to more support and training for our teachers and educators, and extra help for the children and families where it’s needed most.

You can learn more about the program by watching an explainer video on the OECD website.

There will be a family information evening coming up later on the year.
