🎬 Lights, Camera, Action at Marayong Heights Public School! 🍔

Our children at Marayong Heights Public School brought their creativity to life by producing their very own stop-motion film!

Working together, they designed and built a backdrop using recycled materials before bringing LEGO characters to life, frame by frame, to tell the story of making a burger. 🍔

Throughout the experience, the children explored storytelling, creativity and technology while strengthening their teamwork, problem-solving and planning skills.

From building the set to capturing each frame, it was wonderful to see their imagination, collaboration and hard work come together in their very own film! 🎥✨

🚀 STEAM Rocket Day at Wales Street Primary School!

On 2 October, our young engineers put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test.

They designed their own rockets, worked in teams to build and decorate them, then headed outside for launch time.

When the classic Coke and Mentos experiment didn’t quite go to plan, the children adapted, experimented and tried bi-carb soda and vinegar instead.

A brilliant day of curiosity, teamwork and hands-on learning! 🧪🚀

🌱 Exploring Our Sustainability Goal

This week at Sydney Montessori, children have been exploring how we can care for our environment and the living things around us.

As part of our sustainability goal, the children have started helping to feed the chickens on campus, learning about their needs and the importance of treating animals with kindness and respect. 🐔

We’ve also been talking about simple ways we can reduce waste, reuse resources and make more sustainable choices at OOSH and at home.

Through these everyday experiences, children are building responsibility, empathy and a stronger connection to the natural world. 💚

ATTENTION, FIREFIGHTERS! A NEW MISSION HAS COME IN… 🚨

First, our Yarraville SDS crew got to meet the real firefighters.

They explored the truck, learned about the important work firefighters do and discovered how they help keep people safe. 🚒

But the mission wasn’t over yet…

Over at Cranbourne Park, the disco was about to begin. 🪩

Music was ready.
The dance floor was waiting.
And 48 children were ready to party.

With a big event ahead, there was only one mission left…

Keep everyone safe while making sure everyone has fun. ❤️

A huge shout out to Lore and her team for all the effort that went into bringing the disco to life, and to Jess for volunteering her time to help.

From learning from the firefighters to taking on their own important mission…
