ATTENTION, FIREFIGHTERS! A NEW MISSION HAS COME IN… 🚨

First, our Yarraville SDS crew got to meet the real firefighters.

They explored the truck, learned about the important work firefighters do and discovered how they help keep people safe. 🚒

But the mission wasn’t over yet…

Over at Cranbourne Park, the disco was about to begin. 🪩

Music was ready.
The dance floor was waiting.
And 48 children were ready to party.

With a big event ahead, there was only one mission left…

Keep everyone safe while making sure everyone has fun. ❤️

A huge shout out to Lore and her team for all the effort that went into bringing the disco to life, and to Jess for volunteering her time to help.

From learning from the firefighters to taking on their own important mission…

✨ At TheirCare, unforgettable Holiday Programs begin long before the excursion.

Our educators don’t just plan activities. They create experiences.

Before the lights came up at Disney On Ice, children were already immersed in the magic through Disney-inspired crafts, character creations and activities designed to build excitement for the adventure ahead. Every moment was thoughtfully planned to ensure every child felt included, engaged and excited to be part of the experience.

While Disney brought the magic to the ice, our educators brought it to life from the very beginning.

🥛Our theme this week at Wodonga West is Science: How, what and why? Our first activity for the week was a colourful experiment with milk, food colouring and dish soap. They each got a bowl with some milk, drops of food colouring and a cotton bud dipped in dish soap, when instructed to, they dipped the cotton bud into the milk and watched in amazement at what happened! We used full cream milk for this experiment as it is because of the fat and protein content that causes the reaction but as we have a few dairy and lactose free children, we will try this experiment again to see if different types of milk produce the same outcome! 🫟

🦖 Talking TC Rex quickly became the star of our Winter Holiday Program!

One of our educators summed it up perfectly:

“Families shared wonderful feedback, with some parents saying their child wouldn’t go anywhere without their new favourite toy. Some children even made two T-Rexes, recording different voices so they could have conversations with each other, showcasing their imagination and communication skills.”

The Talking TC Rex Learning Experience gave children the chance to record their own voice, make a wish, stuff their dinosaur and take home a keepsake that was uniquely theirs.

As our educator also shared:

“Staff also thoroughly enjoyed participating alongside the children, making the experience even more engaging. Congratulations to the team for creating such a memorable activity that brought joy to our children and families.”

A huge thank you to our incredible educators for creating such a memorable experience. We can’t wait to see what adventures our next Holiday Program brings! 💙
