Happy New Year!

There have been many changes in the BabyMoon family in recent months. Unfortunately we are no longer offering classes (due to moving interstate and preparing to welcome the newest member of the family in Feb 2016). But we intend to keep this page up as a resource for those mummas who are getting back into fitness after having a bubba :)

MUMS & BUBS PILATES DAY CHANGE!

Hi all, due to instructor availability, we are having to change the day for Mums and Bubs Pilates in Glebe to Thursday at 2pm, commencing next Thursday the 19th of November. We hope to see you there!

Well, the time has almost come for me to say goodbye to Sydney and make my way down to beautiful Canberra...

The good news is:
Wednesday 2pm Mums and Bubs Pilates at Glebe will continue as normal as the lovely Christine Durnall has joined the team :).

Plus, we will be adding some new classes to the timetable finally!

Michelle Dotti will also be running another Mums and Bubs Pilates class :) - Tuesday's 11:30am in Glebe (Latin Dance Australia Studio, 263 Broadway)

The Breastfeeding Lie: How Nursing Made Me Gain Weight 12/07/2015

Hey mummas,

This article shows one mum's struggle with weight gain during breastfeeding.

Please remember that post-natal weight loss is not straight forward, there are significant hormonal changes made in your body throughout your pregnancy and during breastfeeding that are designed to keep your baby thriving. While some women do lose weight breastfeeding, many do not and some even gain weight.

Please be kind to your post-natal body. Spending hours relentlessly exercising or restricting your diet while you try to cope with sleep deprivation and a body that is trying to heal after delivery is likely to cause you injury, make you sick, or interrupt you milk supply before you see significant weight loss.

Of course you should still be trying to eat a healthy and well varied diet, and you should definitely be exercising, but rather than focusing on weight loss, do these things to nourish and heal your body, make yourself stronger, and make you feel better.

Remember, you just created life (no biggie ;) ), so give yourself a break if you don't fit into your pre-baby jeans within weeks of delivery!!!
