sandpit play strengthens fine motor skills through scooping, pouring, digging, and patting
Builds hand-eye coordination
Encourages whole-body movement (digging, lifting, carrying) and lets not forget how much fun it is

Our toddler children have been exploring arts and crafts. Craft is so much fun but also develops the children's fine motor skills by strengthening the muscles in their hands that will be needed later when they start to write and draw.

Cognitive development is also a big part of why we offer art to young children. It encourages children to make choices , builds early problem solving skills as well as starting to understand cause and effect.

Our Kindergarten children have been strengthening their knowledge of numbers as well as counting. The benefits are early numeracy skills, memory and concentration, logical thinking, language development.
