Recently the St Stephens Kindergarten team had the privilege to travel down to Bundaberg to meet Aunty Sharron Mirri Bell and family.
The professional development session inspired, educated and empowered us. We engaged in workshops that balance cultural integrity with joyful, hands-on learning, embedding First Nations perspectives through music, dance and storytelling to bring cultural alive in meaningful ways.

A month ago we placed eggs in an incubator and waited patiently for 21 days. We were full of joy to watch 17 chicks hatch. Now the St Stephen's Kindy children are taking responsibility for caring for the chicks daily ensuring their cage is clean and they have enough food and water. The children have learnt first-hand how living things change and grow, experiencing the journey from egg to chick.

🌊 Sea of Fish Challenge – NAIDOC Week at St Stephen's Kindergarten🐟
To celebrate NAIDOC Week, the children took part in our Sea of Fish Challenge a joyful and creative tribute to culture, connection, and community.
The children made a variety of fish to create their own fish mobile. These fish mobiles then went home to continue the conversations about community and cultural in the home space.
