Today we welcomed Fr Francis and the Jubilee Migrant Cross to our school community. ✝️

Through his story of moving from the Philippines to Australia, Fr Francis reminded us that being at home is about belonging, acceptance, and finding Jesus among us. The Jubilee Migrant Cross calls us to remember migrants and refugees around the world, many of whom have left their homes seeking safety, dignity, and peace.

Inspired by Mary MacKillop's call to "never see a need without doing something about it" and the example of Blessed Carlo Acutis, we reflected on a simple but powerful question: What can we do? We can welcome others, include those who feel alone, and help every person feel at home in our community.

As the Australian National Anthem reminds us, we have "plenty to share." May we be people who share kindness, respect, and God's love with all. ❤️

🥦📚 Remembering Book Week 2026 - Dear Broccoli 📚🥦

Our Reception/Year 1 class had lots of fun exploring Dear Broccoli during Book Week. The story sparked plenty of giggles as students shared their thoughts about broccoli. Some loved it, some definitely did not, and everyone had a wonderful time writing, drawing, and expressing their opinions. We loved hearing broccoli described as "a tree". 💚✨

🎨💙 Can You Guess Who? 💙🎨

Our students had so much fun helping to decorate the tables for our recent morning tea and they certainly got creative🥰

Among the decorations were some very special portraits of our wonderful Dads and special people. 👨‍🎨🖼️ Some were spot on… and some gave us a few giggles😂💙

Here we have two very proud Dads showing off their amazing portraits📸✨

But the big question is… CAN YOU GUESS WHO THEY ARE? 🤔😂

We think our little artists did a pretty fantastic job 💙

Thank you to our wonderful students for adding such a special and personal touch to our morning tea celebrations. 🥰🎨

Now… let the guessing begin! 👀👇

📚✨ BOOK WEEK 2026 – A SYMPHONY OF STORIES! ✨📚

One of the most favourite weeks of the school year has come and gone — Book Week 💕📖

This year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories,” truly brought our school to life with the magic, wonder and joy of books. 🎶📚✨

Our staff and students celebrated throughout the week with so many wonderful activities from cosy story times and beautiful book displays to book club, shared reading experiences and so much more. Every corner of our school was filled with stories, imagination and a love of reading. ❤️

And then came the highlight we had all been waiting for… the Book Week Parade 🎭📚🌟

What an incredible sight it was. Our students and staff transformed into much loved characters from their favourite books, bringing stories to life right before our eyes. The creativity, enthusiasm and effort that went into every costume was simply amazing.

We think you’ll agree… everyone looked absolutely fantastic👏😍

A huge thank you to our wonderful staff, students and families for making Book Week such a memorable celebration. Most importantly, thank you for reminding us that there is nothing quite like getting lost in a good story. 💫📖

Until next year, keep reading, keep imagining and keep letting your stories play on! 🎶❤️📚
