🌟 Our Week at Ducklings πŸ₯πŸ’›

What a fun-filled week we have had! Our little learners have been busy exploring, creating, playing and learning through a variety of hands-on experiences. πŸ₯°

πŸ”€ ABC Flash Cards & Alphabet Learning
We explored letters, animals and early literacy through ABC flash cards and magnetic alphabet tiles on whiteboards. The children practised recognising letters, developing vocabulary and building early communication skills.

πŸ¦” Porcupine Stick Game
The children carefully placed sticks into the holes, developing hand-eye coordination, concentration and fine motor skills.

🩷 Imaginative Barbie Play
Using the Barbie bus, Barbies, cars and pool slide, the children enjoyed imaginative play, storytelling and social interactions with their friends.

πŸ’™ Father's Day Craft
We finished creating our special Father's Day gifts with lots of creativity, concentration and pride in our work. 🎁❀️

🌈 Sensory & Creative Play
Tunnel sensory play, Stickems and connector toys gave the children opportunities to explore, experiment and create amazing trees and tunnels using their imaginations. These experiences supported problem-solving, creativity and fine motor development.

😊 Exploring Our Emotions
We spent time looking at our emotion chart and talked about different feelings. This helps children begin to recognise and express their emotions and develop important social and emotional skills.

🌳 Community Park Outings
We enjoyed two community outings to the park, including morning tea with our peers! The children had lots of opportunities for sliding, running, climbing, digging and enjoying fresh air and exercise. These outings encouraged physical development, confidence, social skills and connection with our community.

What a busy and exciting week we’ve had! Our Ducklings have been learning through play, building friendships, developing confidence and discovering new skills every day. πŸ₯°

🏑 Welcoming new families for 2027
We were excited to meet some new families looking at joining Ducklings in 2027. The children enjoyed being part of welcoming new faces into our environment, practising social skills, confidence and connection with others.

🫧 Shaving cream sensory play
Lots of messy, squishy fun! The children explored textures, made marks, practised hand movements and used their senses to investigate and experiment.

Our ABC poster has been a big hit! The children practised recognising letters, noticing familiar symbols and developing early literacy skills through conversation and play.

🧩 Puzzles, pop-its, locks & keys
So much concentration and persistence! From matching puzzle pieces to figuring out locks and keys and manipulating pop-it toys, the children practised problem-solving, fine motor control, hand-eye coordination and perseverance.

πŸ¦– Dinosaurs & imaginative play
The dinosaurs inspired lots of wonderful imagination, storytelling and conversations. The children created their own play scenarios while developing language, social skills and creativity.

πŸ’› Another week full of little moments, big learning and lots of fun at Ducklings!
