🌟 Witchery Farm Annabelle ND85.9 🌟
🌟 Witchery Farm Roxey ND84.37 🌟

These little ladies are almost 1 year now and are ready to go. As we have just started joining does for this years breeding I am looking to reduce numbers again before August/September kidding.

These two will be the last two show quality girls I have available until next year.

If you’re not after show quality and looking for something more suited to a homestead lifestyle I do have a pair of twin girls I will also be looking at moving on soon.

Feel free to PM me for more info!

We only took a small crew to Inglewood show but we had a great day!

We took:
Witchery Farm Maven - kid doe 6-12 months
Witchery Farm Mara - Doe 1-3 yrs
Witchery Farm Mirabelle - Doe 3+ years

All girls got Reserve Champion in their respective Age groups and Maven also took Best of Breed Doe.
Unfortunately there was no other competition in the Udder Classes but we still got some great feedback.

Scorching hot day today so the goatees all came and sat with me in the shade in the house yard.

Shoutout to Alessia for scaring me with her death nap pose 🤣

Doesn’t matter how many times you see a death napper, it makes me jump every time 😅

Some of our Easter doe kids from last year growing out nicely, and a few of our younger girls. Still some improvements to work on but really happy with the progress we have made in the last few years.

Our smallest (and most enthusiastic) goat wrangler entered her first show last year at the AABMGS Christmas Show held at Kalbar Showgrounds.
As you can tell by her expression she took her job very seriously 🤣

AABMGS does a great job at making the kiddy and junior handler classes a fun and encouraging learning experience for the kids. And they’ve always taken great care to have special prizes for all kids involved.

Without the younger generations taking an interest, our fancy has no future, does it?

🥚Pickled Eggs now prepped for ‘back to school’ snacks!

The recipe below is usually enough pickling solution to cover 10 - 12 eggs in a jar. 🫙

✅ 1 cup of caster sugar
✅ 1 Litre vinegar
✅ 2 tablespoons pickling spices
✅ 3-4 cloves of garlic and a few sprigs of fresh rosemary for flavour boosting.

Once you have hard boiled your eggs, pack them into a clean and sterilised jar with garlic cloves and herb sprigs.

Add the vinegar, sugar and pickling spices to a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil. Stir until all sugar has dissolved then simmer for a further 5 minutes so spices infuse into the solution. Pour directly over eggs into the jar and seal with the lid. Keep in the fridge for at least a week to let the flavours infuse better before eating.

You can use whatever type of vinegar takes your fancy. I sometimes use Malt vinegar or some apple cider vinegar. You can get creative with seasonings too! We’ve also had great success with curry or chilli flavours.

Sapphire and Moxxi will be the first of Septembers girls who will be ready to find new pastures soon!

Both 81.25% ND, they come from great milking lines and would be a wonderful addition to any homestead as mini milkers.

While they cannot be shown (as they still have their horns) they can be registered and exhibited no obvious faults at this stage. They’re beautifully natured, just like their parents, even if they are at an extremely rascally age right now 🤪

They come from a CAE and JD clear herd tested annually. And inspection is always welcome.

We will have some others available soon as well, so please feel free to reach out if you’re interested or have questions!
