For the very last time, thank you, to all the superheroes who let us be their sidekicks over the last 24 years.
It’s difficult to describe how much you’ve taught us, changed us, grown us. It has been our honour to be a part of your journeys, to bear witness to the way you bravely forged new paths and resolutely celebrated being you. We will be forever grateful.
Today, after 24 years of service provision, TLC closed our doors for the very last time.
It is a day to reminisce and be a little sad; but also to celebrate and determinedly look forward to what opportunities may come our way next.
We hope you’ll stay in touch, and that our paths may cross again.
Stay safe, be well. Change the world.
Karen, Aarathy and Team TLC

In case you missed it…
You are now eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine starting today - if you are:
✅ 16 years or over, and
♿️ An NDIS participant, or
🟪 A person who provides care to an NDIS participant.
That can be a paid person, like a support worker - or an unpaid person, like a parent or guardian.
Fill out the Vaccine Eligibility Checker to get more info and instructions on what you can do next: https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility
More information for people with disability, including Auslan and Easy Read materials are on the Health website https://www.health.gov.au/initiatives-and-programs/covid-19-vaccines/information-for-service-providers-workers-and-people-with-disability-about-covid-19-vaccines/information-for-people-with-disability-about-covid-19-vaccines
We know it has been an enormously tough time for so many people in our community.
Not just the pandemic. Or the lockdowns. Or the Disability Royal Commission. Or the proposed changes to the NDIS. People with disability and the people who support them have been forgotten, ignored, disrespected, let down - and have needed to fight and fight and fight some more over the past 12+ months.
We see you. And we wanted to say - please, for us, go and do something nice for yourself today. Watch cute baby goat videos, reach out to loved ones, do some meditation or exercise, have a warm bath, read a nice book, or get the lego out - whatever helps you get through.
And if you find yourself struggling, please reach out. There are loads of good people out there who want to help. Here are some services and hotlines:
