πŸŽ“ School Readiness Evening

We were delighted to welcome the Principal and Assistant Principal from Ryde East Public School to Monash ELC to share valuable insights with our families about preparing children for the transition to primary school.

A wonderful evening of information, connection and preparing our children for their next exciting chapter. πŸ’›πŸŒ±

Thank you to Ryde East Public School and our families for joining us!

Singing with children is so much more than fun - it’s an important part of early language development. πŸ’›

Through songs, children hear new words, practise sounds, build vocabulary and begin to understand rhythm, repetition and patterns in language. Singing also encourages children to listen, participate and communicate in a relaxed and joyful way.

Our Baby Room educators use singing throughout the day to create meaningful opportunities for connection, communication and learning. 🎢✨

As part of Friendship Week, we gathered outside for a special group experience called our Friendship Web. πŸ’™

Sitting together in a circle, each child chose a friend, passed them a piece of string, and shared something they liked or appreciated about their friendship. As the string was passed from friend to friend, it created a beautiful web, showing how we are all connected through kindness, friendship, and a sense of belonging.

It was a meaningful experience that encouraged positive relationships, thoughtful communication, and celebrating the special friendships we share every day at Monash Early Learning Centre. 🌟

🌈 Sing a Rainbow Together 🌈

The children had so much fun creating their very own rainbow collage! Each child picked their favourite coloured paper and added it to the group artwork. After sharing their ideas, they continued decorating their rainbow with crayons, adding even more colour and creativity along the way. 🎨

It was lovely to see the children working together, sharing ideas, and taking pride in creating something special as a team

As part of our weekly program, our children love visiting our community garden to help care for the plants, learn about nature, and develop a sense of responsibility for the world around them.

This week, our learning extended even further with a special excursion to Bunnings, where the children explored gardening supplies, asked lots of questions, and discovered new ways to help our garden flourish! 🌼🌿

These hands-on experiences encourage teamwork, environmental awareness, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for caring for our community.

We can’t wait to see our garden continue to grow! 🌻🌱

πŸŒ±πŸ›’ Excursion to Bunnings! πŸ›’πŸŒ±

Today, we enjoyed an exciting excursion to Bunnings to purchase seeds for our winter vegetable gardens. Along the way, they explored the garden centre, identified different plants and vegetables, and learned about what is needed to help a garden grow and thrive.

The children carefully selected seeds for the vegetables they would like to grow and discussed what happens from seed to harvest. This hands-on experience supports their understanding of sustainability, healthy eating, and where our food comes from, while also encouraging decision-making, communication, and community connections.

We can’t wait to plant our seeds and watch our winter garden flourish over the coming months! 🌱πŸ₯•πŸ₯¬

✨ Parent Night at Monash ELC ✨

Thank you to Maria from for joining us for a wonderful Parent Night focused on supporting speech and language development πŸ’¬πŸ§

Maria shared valuable insights, practical strategies, and meaningful ways families can support children’s communication skills through everyday interactions and play. 🦎🐍 What a wild day at our centre

We had Raptor Reptiles visit us today and the children absolutely loved it. They got to see and learn about a range of reptiles up close and even had the chance to touch and hold some of them

There were lots of curious questions, brave moments and big smiles as the children explored something new and exciting. Experiences like this are such a great way to build confidence and spark an interest in the natural world

Thank you Raptor Reptiles for such a fun and engaging visit πŸ’š
