Our wonderful educators stepped down the rabbit hole for a very special Alice in Wonderland Morning Tea! 🌹🎩🐇

From the Queen of Hearts to Alice herself, there were smiles, sweet treats and plenty of “we’re late, we’re late… for a very important morning tea!” 😂☕

A huge thank you to our incredible educators for making every day at our centre a little more wonderful. ❤️

🌱🔬 Science Week – Seeds of Nature! 🌿✨
This Science Week, our nursery children have been exploring the wonderful theme “Seeds of Nature”! 🌱💚

Our little scientists have had the opportunity to plant and grow their very own seeds, learning about what plants need to grow and thrive. 🪴

🌈 Walking Water Experiment! 💧🌈

Today we explored the amazing science of “walking water”! The children loved watching the coloured water travel from one cup to another and mix together to create new colours. 🥰

This is a simple experiment that introduces children to colour mixing, observation, prediction and how water moves through paper towel.

🌈 Exploring Colour with Celery! 🌈

Today the children had fun experimenting with celery and coloured water! 🌿💧

We watched closely as the celery soaked up the colourful water, making the colours travel through the stalk. The children were encouraged to observe, predict and talk about what they noticed. 🔍🎨

A simple experiment filled with curiosity, discovery and learning! 💚

🍦 Ice Cream in a Bag! 🧊

Today our little scientists had lots of fun making their very own ice cream in a bag with Dee our centre chef!👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

Using simple ingredients like cream along with ice and salt, the children shook, mixed and watched as their liquid mixture transformed into delicious ice cream! 😋

Dairy-free options were also available, so everyone could join in the fun! 🌱🍦

It was a fun, hands-on experience that encouraged the children to explore science, cause and effect, sensory experiences and teamwork — all while enjoying a yummy treat at the end! ❤️

We loved seeing their excitement and curiosity throughout the experiment! 🌟

🌋✨ Science Week has started! ✨🌋

With excitement, curiosity and plenty of messy hands, the children explored what happens when our volcano erupts! 🌋💥 Watching the bubbly reaction was a fantastic way to spark conversations, encourage predictions and discover the wonder of science through play.

🌋 Want to try it at home? Here’s our easy volcano recipe!

🧂 You’ll need:

Baking soda
Vinegar
A little dishwashing liquid
Red food colouring
A small cup or container
Sand

🏖️ How to make your volcano:
Place the cup in the sand and build a volcano shape around it.
Add 2–3 tablespoons of baking soda to the cup.
Add a few drops of red food colouring and a squeeze of dishwashing liquid.
Pour in some vinegar and watch your volcano ERUPT! 🌋💥

💡 Ask your little scientist: What do you think will happen? Why do you think the volcano bubbles and fizzes?

A simple experiment, a big reaction and lots of learning! ❤️🔬
