☁️🌧️ Our Prep students became little meteorologists this week as they explored the wonders of weather through an exciting rain cloud experiment! Using shaving cream and coloured water to represent clouds and rain, students observed how clouds become saturated before releasing precipitation. This hands-on activity helped consolidate their Term 2 learning about weather. The excitement on their faces as the "rain" fell through the clouds was priceless. A very big thank-you to the wonderful parents & grandparents who volunteered their time and helped as lab assistants!

In 1AB, along with all of the other Grade 1 students, we put our procedural writing skills to the test on Monday! Students wrote instructions for making a jam sandwich, focusing on using the correct nouns, verbs, and adverbs to make their steps clear and easy to follow. When important words were missing, things got a little messy! Through plenty of laughs, students discovered why clear, sequenced instructions and strong action words are essential in procedural writing.

📚✨ Last week, our students joined children across Australia in celebrating National Simultaneous Storytime 2026!

Students from mixed year levels came together to tune in as Miss Anderson read Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller to the whole school. The story inspired students with its themes of courage, teamwork and determination while sparking plenty of discussion and excitement.

Following the story, students put their creativity on display by designing and creating their own House-themed jerseys. It was wonderful to see so many unique designs and plenty of House pride shining through!

A fantastic morning of literacy, creativity and connection. Well done to all of our students for their enthusiastic participation! 🌟📖🎨

A big thank you to all the families who came along to our Family STEM Night. It was wonderful to see so many students and families exploring, creating, and learning together. We hope everyone had a fantastic evening and enjoyed the exciting STEM activities.

This year, teams earned House Points for their participation throughout the night. Congratulations to the Ruby Rosellas, who earned an impressive 190 House Points and were the highest-scoring team of the evening! ❤️🦜

A special shout out to our awesome teachers for organising a great event for our community. And to the wonderful Erin for all her help behind the scenes getting everything ready.

🐝💛 A big congratulations to two of our superstar students who wrote a letter to School Council asking if our school could help raise awareness and fundraise for World Bee Day!

Today, students dressed in a touch of yellow, learnt about the incredibly important role bees play in our environment, and had the opportunity to make a donation to support a local bee organisation. 🐝🌼

A special shoutout also goes to our amazing canteen manager Lauren, who baked delicious yellow cupcakes and generously donated all sales from the day to the fundraiser. 🧁💛

What an incredible effort by everyone involved — especially our two thoughtful and inspiring students. Amazing work, superstars!!! 🌟👏

This term the preps have been learning about Fairy Tales. PAW read the story ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and explored the characters, the setting, the problem and the solution. The students loved identifying which character was the villain and who was the hero. They then practised writing simple sentences about the story using capital letters and full stops. Awesome work, preps!
