Congratulations to our Yohfest legends for an outstanding day at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.

Our Certificate dancers enthralled the audience with their dance piece 'False Confidence' winning 'Most polished sophisticated performance' and runner up for Healthway 'Best Health message'.

Our Year 10 PAA Drama class were outstanding in their delivery of 'The real game of life" winning the award of 'Committed Characterisation'

Today is Indigenous Literacy Day. To celebrate First Nations peoples’ stories, cultures and languages, our STARS Foundation team hosted a beautiful display featuring a range of books written and illustrated by First Nations authors and artists, along with a welcoming space to sit, read and connect with these stories.

Girrawheen Senior High School Stars girls had an amazing opportunity to travel to Kalgoorlie for the Goldfields Junior Camp. The camp provided students with opportunities to connect with culture, build friendships, and develop confidence through sport, cultural activities and career exploration. Highlights included a netball carnival, learning from the elders at Jupan Honey Ants Bush Outings, meeting inspiring women in the mining industry, and connecting with Stars students from other schools. It was a memorable experience that encouraged teamwork, cultural connection and personal growth.

Spirit Week is officially underway! Students enjoyed lunchtime activities including Balloon Battles outside the gym, while enthusiastic teachers stepped up for a friendly dodgeball showdown. Both activities were coordinated by our Student Council. More to come from this year's Spirit Week.
