Nursery Rhyme Week 2024

We blasted off to the stars with Twinkle Twinkle little star 🌟, sailed onto The big ship sails and finished the week with Incy wincy spider.

Nursery rhymes and other types of music have been known to have a positive impact on children’s development, fostering literacy, rhythm, memory, and vocabulary.

Back into 2024 with a bang!

Children enjoyed exploring the colour and slimy texture of the coloured spaghetti as it sliped through their fingers. It also helps children to develop their fine motor skills, creativity and imagination as they find different ways to play with the spaghetti.

Please to announce that my registered provider Garden Play FDC, which includes Blue Wren FDC as well as 14 other FDC's have just gone through ratings and assesment and we now have a rating of meeting the National quality standards.

Garden Play FDC Service has recently undergone an Assessment and Rating conducted by the Education and Care Regulatory Unit (ECRU) and we are delighted to announce that we are meeting all 7 quality areas.

"Garden Play FDC is commended for the effort undertaken during this assessment and rating process. It was evident during the visit that family day care educators have established nurturing, respectful relationships with children and families, which is consistent with the service philosophy and educator’s personal philosophies. The coordinator has led educators to reflect on their practice on how they ensure children develop strong attachments and a sense of belonging in a family day care environment. The coordinator has implemented systems to ensure that all family day care educators are supported and strive for continuous improvement"
