During Week 3, our Year 11 Primary Industries students headed out into the workforce to complete their work placement.
Work placement is an important part of the Primary Industries course, giving students the opportunity to experience real industry workplaces, put their skills into practice and learn from those working within the agricultural industry.
A huge thank you to Jenny Bradley, Nick Easman, Jim Miller, Barry Wheeler and Kendal Wieland, as well as Dubbo Local Land Services, for welcoming our students and generously sharing their time, knowledge and experience throughout the week.
We are extremely grateful for the continued support of producers and organisations. Opportunities like these wouldn’t be possible without people willing to support, guide and encourage the next generation entering our agricultural industries.

Jack, Tison, Akhiro and Beau proudly represented Gilgandra High School at the Western Region Athletics Carnival in Dubbo last Friday, achieving some outstanding results.

👏Jack- 1st 1500m, 2nd in 100m, 400m, 800m
👏Akhiro- 1st- 400m, 2nd 800m
👏Beau- 3rd Shotput

Congratulations to Jack, Akhiro and Beau, who have now qualified for the NSW State Athletics Carnival.

Students and staff rocked their jeans, while staff also enjoyed a delicious fundraiser lunch. Together, we raised over $500 for a great cause!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Jeans for Genes Day fundraiser.

Make sure you pop down to the stall in the main street tomorrow and grab a tasty treat while supporting a great cause! 💙

They'll have the exciting opportunity to meet the players and present the football boots they painted to them.

On Monday, we celebrated Public Education Week with our Formal Assembly.

Students and staff shared highlights from across school life, including Moorambilla and Agriculture reports.

Students were recognised for:

Congratulations to Oxley 1 (OX1) for achieving the top attending roll call class last week!! 🏆

A reminder to all students that every day counts. Arrive at school on time each day, and once you get off the bus or are dropped off, head straight into the school grounds ready for learning.
