The Spiral Effect Life Coaching -
Helping you re-connect to who you REALLY are
Helping you to navigate through loss, change and life's tough moments

Hi - I am Rebecca Lane the founder and life coach of “The Spiral Effect”. Drawing on over 28-years experience of teaching and coaching others from the very young to those in adulthood, I have supported many people of all ages to discover who they are and learn to see their potential from within. I have a Bachelor of Education, a Master of Special Education and am a certified Faculty Member for the William Glasser Institute Australia. Also, being the 11th child in a family of 15 children (Yes! and NO twins) I have had a life time of interacting, sharing, loving and trying to understand why we do what we do. I am passionate about helping you to reconnect with who YOU are... to rediscover your inner strengths and your deepest passions. I want you to revive those feelings of purpose and vitality that are inside you so you can begin to live again with the curiosity and passion of a child. Together, we will walk through the thoughts and beliefs which may be holding you back. We will explore YOUR unique story. The story of who you are and what gets you excited for life. My belief is that developing a deeper awareness of how you see yourself, is actually the key to letting YOU shine again. I will use the skills and concepts of Choice Theory, which is based on the simple premise that every individual only has the power to fully control themselves and has limited power to control others. Applying Choice Theory allows individuals to be empowered to take responsibility for their choices and support others in taking ownership of their own choices. At the same time, it allows you to withdraw from attempting to control other people’s decisions and lives.

A Little Reminder
Your body isn’t something to control. It’s something to listen to.
It is constantly communicating, adjusting, protecting, and doing its best ~Listening is an act of respect, not weakness~

My heart is heavy as I hold the grief of the horrific Bondi tragedy.

I want to send my deepest condolences to the Jewish community, to the families and loved ones directly affected, and to all Australians who are feeling shaken, saddened, or unsettled by what has occurred.

Violence tears at our sense of safety — especially at a time of year that is meant to be about connection, celebration, and hope. For many, this Christmas will feel quieter, heavier, and more tender.

In moments like these, may we choose compassion over fear.
May we meet one another with gentleness rather than judgement.
May we speak with care, listen with openness, and act with kindness.

Let this be a time where love is offered freely — across cultures, faiths, beliefs, and differences. Where we stand together and remind one another that hate does not get the final word.

Sending love, strength, and peace to every heart that is hurting.
May kindness guide us — now and always. 💙
