Last Friday, some of our senior (Year 5 and Year 6) students competed at the Midwest Gascoyne Netball Carnival and the Freo Dockers Shield Football Cup. We had a fabulous time, represented our school beautifully and came back the champions from each compitition!
A big thanks to Ms Kadry for organising the day as well as Mr Barnes, Miss Trusso, Mr Josh, Mrs Pember and Miss Newton for supporting our Teams!

This term, the Year 1 students have been learning the Knowledge Unit 'Looking After Me'. Throughout the unit, we have explored the importance of our families, learnt about the role of emergency services, and discovered ways to keep our bodies healthy. On 22 May, we made healthy fruit kebabs to encourage eating fruit every day and fairy bread to demonstrate that some foods should only be enjoyed occasionally as a special treat. We then shared our delicious creations during a Teddy Bear Picnic under the trees on the oval. It was a wonderful day, and lots of fun was had by all!

In our second year at Allendale Primary School it has been a whole-school focus to implement the Zones of Regulation program. The Zones of Regulation is a framework and curriculum designed to help children recognise, understand, and manage their emotions, energy levels, and states of alertness.
Check out our new ZoR Pathway signs that are proudly displayed around our school! These signs have been manufactured using funding from our sustainability committee led by Ms Molloy.
The implementation of this program has shown great benefit to our students and school and we look forward to continuing on our ZoR journey!
