This Wednesday is out Numero Parent Workshop. Come along with your child and learn how to play Numero! Numero is a fantastic game them develops students mental maths skills- and most importantly, it is a lot of fun! You can buy cards to take home at the workshop, find out about the new Numero App and there will be a light afternoon tea served. Kindy 1 students were super excited to visit Mr Barnes in the office today to show him all they are learning about patterns. Our newest students to the school are settling in beautifully to their routines and engaging in their exciting teaching and learning program.

We are so excited to introduce another of our new teachers to Allendale Primary School!

Please welcome Miss Ellie Blackmore who has joined us from Broome North Primary School in the Kimberley. Miss Blackmore comes to our school with lots of experience teaching middle primary, and we are so lucky to have her teaching our Year 3 students in Room 3.

We would like to introduce one of our new teaching staff, Miss Vanessa Brown. Vanessa has joined Allendale Primary school from Port Hedland in the Pilbara! Vanessa is an experienced Pre-Primary teacher and she will be teaching our beautiful students in PP1.

What a wonderful Week 2 we have had at Allendale! Students are settling into their classrooms and routines well. Tomorrow will also see the commencement of Spelling Mastery for 2025 in our year 3-6 classes from 9am.

This morning, The Wild Brew Cafe mobile coffee van will be parked at our school (on Marsden Street) from 7.30-9am for families to purchase their favourite beverage.

If this is supported, Wild Brew will make it a weekly thing!

Dear Allendale,

What a wonderful first week of learning we have had back for 2025! Students have settled in beautifully to their classes and have spent the week revisiting school routines that will set us up for a year of success- such as lining up and moving around the school safely and quietly, ruling up our workbooks, how to use mini whiteboards effectively during a lesson and how to organise our materials in our trays. Our teachers know that when these small things run smoothly, we can concentrate on learning! We appreciate parents support in upholding these expectations throughout the year.

Staff warmly welcomed students back this morning for a new year of learning and lots of fun! We saw lots of smiling faces (parents and students) and many very pleased to be back in classrooms.

Good Morning Allendale,

Parents should have received a message this morning advising of what classes your children are in for 2025. Parents can also log in to the Compass App to view their children's classes.

Please monitor the Compass App to soon view a 'Welcome Message' from your child's teacher and special information for a smooth start tomorrow morning!

Please bring along all booklist items tomorrow morning. Teachers will advise you in the welcome message or tomorrow morning what to do with excess stationery- we do need it at school so we can replenish throughout our year of learning! Please have all items labelled (except for Kindy and Pre-Primary as this equipment is shared).

Welcome to 2025 Allendale!

Just a reminder of our important dates for back to school. Don't forget that these are also on your Compass Calendar!

There will be no class lists posted at our school prior to the first day. Parents will receive a text message on Tuesday 4 February by 12 noon informing them what class their child is in/who their teacher is. You will then be invited to log in to Compass to see a message from your child's teacher and any special information for the first day! If your mobile number has changed recently, please send an email to [email protected] advising us of the change of details so we can update our system and ensure you get the important information.

Please ensure that ALL stationery items are labelled with your child's name for students in Year 1-6. For students in Kindy and Pre-Primary, equipment is shared so it does not need to be labelled.

On Tuesday morning, our school celebrated a wonderful 2024 with our End of Year Concert and Awards Presentation.

Our theme of "Sun, Sea and Surf" set the scene for some fantastic performances from all of our year levels.

Thanks so much to all of our parents, caregivers and families that attended the concert. A further thank you to Geraldton Grammar School for allowing us to host our event in their Batavia Hall. We wish you all a safe and enjoyable holidays and look forward to seeing you in 2025!

2025 Classes-
On Tuesday, 4 February (the day before school) parents will be sent a text message advising what class your child will be in and their teacher's name. Parents will then be invited to check their Compass App for a message from their child/ren's teacher with specific instructions for the next morning. There will be no class lists posted at school.
