The Hollomby Foundation was established in honour of Joe Hollomby, and we pay our respects to Joe today.
The Hollomby Foundation provides scholarships to students studying with the GUC, and is financially supported by many businesses, local governments, service organisations, and individuals in our local community. 2025 Hollomby Foundation Scholarships will open for applications to students at the end of November.

It was so great to have these students and their teachers here at the GUC this week as part of a Country Education Partnership forum to build on the awesome work of the 2022 Rural Youth Ambassador Program. These students and their teachers came from 14 schools across the Midwest, from Jurien Bay to Meekatharra and everywhere in between to build on the online platform that the 2022 Midwest Rural Ambassadors developed. The platform based on a SA model, will allow regional students and their schools to collaborate on the platform to decrease the isolation felt by many of these students studying Year 11 and 12 as part of extremely small cohorts or sometimes alone. Pulling together cohorts from schools across the Midwest can open up access to many courses that otherwise may not be available to study... Thanks to Phil and Mike from the Country Education Partnership and Julie Campbell from Midwest District Education Office for your support.

Congratulations to Kylie Springett - winner of the buy local voucher for completing the 2024 GUC Student Survey.
This survey is vitally important to help the GUC to better understand, strengthen and evidence the support provided by the GUC. It was great to read comments like this....
"All the staff are welcoming and friendly. I enjoy the small community where they know my name and appear to have an interest in my wellbeing"
And also stats like this.....
92% of students feel safe and welcome
87% of students think the GUC makes it easier for them to stay, study, or work in their community.
