There was emotion all round when Mrs Keemink's Room 9 students proudly read their ANZAC poems aloud to Mrs Harries last week. Such high quality poems using emotive language, and stunning art work to illustrate. Through this activity, the students have learned why we acknowledge ANZAC Day and reflected on what this means for all of us on this day. Well done Room 9!

April is Autism Awareness month and to help raise awareness and understanding we're having a free dress day on Monday! The brighter and more colourful the better!

Harmony Day at Geraldton Primary School: This year we were treated to a visit from award-winning musician, storyteller, refugee and author, Valanga Khoza. We went on an unforgettable journey through the rhythms and tales of South Africa, laughing at Valanga's hilarious stories and singing along with him in his unique style.

A Walk Through Time

Today, Room 11 embarked on a fascinating journey through our school's past. Our school was built way back in 1878, and it's seen some changes over the years, with new parts added in 1911 through to 1996.

As we walked around, we looked at the different materials used to build the school. We saw how it started with stone bricks in 1878 and then got some newer, sleeker bricks later on.

Everyone enjoyed learning about our historic school and stepping back in time! Teachers: Mrs Murray, Mrs Lawrie SNEA: Mrs Cooper

Are you free tomorrow (Thursday) night? Why not come down to school at 5.30pm and see what the P&C is all about? New faces, new ideas always welcome! Geraldton Primary P&C - a great bunch of people doing great things for our school :)
