Great to see one of our past students make it to the big time. Congratulations Tom Manuel.
Tom Manuel has become the first football player from Geraldton to sign a professional contract, which will take him overseas.
The 18 year old grew up playing for local teams Olympic Football Club and the Abrohlos Vikings.
Manuel will fly to Argentina in September, to join Club Sol de Mayo.
His dad, Peter Manuel, says Tom put in a lot of effort to get to where he is.
“It was always his dream as a youngster to play professional soccer. So to see that come to fruition, we’re incredibly proud,” Mr Manuel said.
“We couldn’t be happier for him.”
