The nursery staff and children all wish you a happy Easter 🐣
🎉🐰🐣 E A S T E R • H U N T 🐣🐰🎉
This morning our Kindy and Toddler children expressed their EGG-citement as they explored their outside environment. The children set out after the Easter Bunny had been to find their special photo of themselves hidden throughout the yard! Once they found their photo they got to collect a special treat bag!
Children smiled with enjoyment as they opened their bag to find a small chocolate egg, colouring pages and stickers!
During this experience children demonstrated team work as they helped their friends in search of their photo. Children interacted with one another as they explored, providing them with the opportunity to further build and develop their relationships with one another.
Children wore their Easter creations, some amazing hats they made at home, and some Easter bunny headbands which we created yesterday afternoon!! Such a fun filled morning!
We wish all our beautiful families a safe and happy Easter break! See you all back on Tuesday! 🤍

Mud and Trucks!!! Say no more! 🚜🚜🚜
This morning the Kindy and Toddler children explored their senses as they engaged in some wet mud play! The children used their hands to manoeuvre the toy trucks through the thick mud! They expressed their excitement as they smiled and communicated with their educators and peers. The children transferred knowledge from one setting to another as they verbalised their imagination by using beeping noises as the trucks moved about!
Our Kindy children extended their interest this afternoon by using dump trucks to create art work. The children used the truck tyres to leave tracks on their paper 🤩
Last week the Nursery children were able to engage in activities to celebrate harmony week! We made an orange cake for afternoon tea and the children manipulated the kitchen appliances to mix everything together. We also engaged in a orange rice sensory tub with multicultural people cut outs and we talked about the different cultures and their features they have. Throughout the week we also programmed many activities to reflect on difference and similarities between one another. These activities promoted positive relationships and friendships between educators and children 🧡

🍀✨🍀Just a few Kindy Leprechaun’s popping in to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day 🍀✨🍀
✨🍀 HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY 🍀✨
St. Patrick’s Day is a global celebration of Irish culture which is celebrated through parades, food, music, dance and a whole lot of green.
Children came dressed in green today as they participated in green activities and shamrock paintings.
Our Kindy children explored their senses as they discovered the St Pat’s Day sensory station. There was lots of green rice, sparkly material, a large rainbow and gold coins hidden throughout. Children practiced their fine motor skills by scooping the rice as they endeavoured to find the hidden gold. Children painted shamrocks using green paint and then sprinkled green glitter to finish them. Once they had finished decorating they all made their own wish! ✨
🍀🍀🌈Don’t forget tomorrow is St Patrick’s Day! Wear green and help us celebrate with lots of fun activities 🌈🍀🍀
What an exciting week for our Kindy children! An amazing new outdoor environment and a new dramatic play area in our room!
• We are now taking on new clients for our Kindy Hair Salon! •
We have been observing the children’s interests to establish a new area within our indoor environment, and happily we have introduced the new salon this week.
Children have been expressing their excitement and exploring their imagination as they initiate their work roles with their peers! 💇🏾💇🏼♀️💇🏽💇🏿♀️
The smiles on their faces really say it all! 😍
This morning our children explored their new outdoor environment for the first time since the renovations had started.
It was excitement overload as the children arrived at daycare to notice all the changes! ☀️
How excited were we this morning to come in and play in our Newley renovated playgrounds.
There is still a few more touches to come in the next month…. Stay tuned.
Can you spot the changes in our outdoor environment? 🌿☀️
Our children have been keeping a close eye on our workers to make sure they are doing a great job! They have been sharing their thoughts and engaging in conversations with their educators and peers as they express their excitement. We have watched them use shovels to dig holes, and big saws to cut the wood and lots and lots of hammering! The children are in their element with so much happening just outside their window!
We can’t wait to get outside and explore our new play space!!! Not long to go now! 😱😍
Some of our care environments. Watch the outside space for some renovations coming in the next 2 weeks.
What would you like to see??

They were able to use their fine and gross motor skills to throw the balls in and out of the water, climb in and out of the tub and make some big splashes with our bodies. We were all very curious and enthusiastic participants in our learning!

What is better than building a cubby house?
Building a cubby house at daycare!! ⛺️
Today our Kindy children shared their ideas with each other as they explored their imagination by helping build a cubby house inside our room. Once we had finished building our cubby, we all crawled inside together and read stories using a flash light🔦
Our Children expressed their excitement using their body language, facial expressions and verbal communication. Some responses were “this is really nice” and “this is so much fun!” 🤩
Spontaneous activities provides our Children with the opportunity to have an input into our daily program and encourages them to express their ideas and interests ✨

Today the centre celebrated Valentines day! The children wore thier pink and red clothes and engaged in some art and crafts making cards for their loved ones and bunches of flowers. In the nursery we had a ”loving” hands and pink foam sensory tub, the children loved feeling everything and using the spoons to move everything around. We hope you all had an amazing valentines day 🥰💕
What a beautiful day we had today! The perfect weather for a summer’s bbq picnic under our big tree! On our menu this morning we had fresh hamburgers, leaves on the bbq and some freshly squeezed grape juice!
Children engaged in conversations with our educators as they demonstrated their cooperation towards each other as they negotiated their roles as they initiated play. Imaginative and role play helps support children to further develop their social interactions with both educators and peers and helps them to build strong and secure relationships. We had a fun and enjoyable morning relaxing for our picnic bbq as we explored our natural environment ☀️🍇🥩🍔🌿

This morning the Kindy Children had the opportunity to explore some of their senses through this fun filled experience. Children practiced their turn taking as we waited patiently to have our turn! It was exciting to watch all of our friends express their emotions using their facial expressions and body language while we eagerly awaited our turn! Children verbally communicated with their educators on how it felt for them, such as “cold”, “slippery”, “like wet gum balls”, and “squishy”, just to name a few! We had conversations together about the colours we could see and what little toys were hiding! 🦎🪱
Sensory play encourages learning through exploration, curiosity, problem solving and creativity.
Playing with spaghetti is very exciting… and playing with rainbow spaghetti is even better!
Yesterday the children engaged in some rainbow spaghetti play! Our special cook Marion helped prepare the pasta for the children to engage in this sensory activity.
We practised our fine motor skills by grasping and manoeuvring small tweezers to pick up the spaghetti.. the determination in the children never ended.
Together we shared our resources with our peers and showed awareness of fairness, empathy and respect towards others.
Educators and children engaged in conversations during this activity about the colours we could see in the pasta, about how it felt, how it smelt and what it looked like!
There are so many benefits in sensory play for children and is so rewarding seeing them enjoy their learning and further their growth in many different areas!
