Today students from Yuna, Chapman Valley and Binnu Primary Schools held their Business Enterprise Expo at Yuna Primary School. What a fantastic day it was!
Students thoroughly enjoyed the day and learnt lots from the experience. We certainly have some budding entrepreneurs amongst us in our small schools.
At last count, $1040 had been raised, with Binnu’s money yet to be counted. Funds raised will be donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Once again, a BIG thank you to the Yuna P&C who provided lunch to staff, students and community members.
A HUGE thank you to the Yuna P&C parents and family members who gave up their valuable time over the last few weekends to prepare the school grounds and surrounds for the forthcoming bushfire season. It was also terrific to see our student reps and ex-students working hard and “doing their bit” at the recent Busy Bee. Definitely the “Community Kind”. Marvellous effort all round!

They decided to divide their alpaca up into puzzle pieces, so that each student had their own individual section, showing that although we are all unique, we fit together perfectly.
The project supports the 2024 International Year of the Camelid.
Students from Yuna, Chapman Valley and Binnu Primary Schools will be holding a Business Enterprise Expo on Friday the 13th of September at Yuna Primary School. Save the date and come along!

Today we hosted another successful CHUNABI collaborative day and it was all about maths investigations and having fun.
The investigations required a deep dive into maths knowledge and skills and included gathering data, creating tables and graphs, mapping, predicting and testing, calculating multi step operations, drawing conclusions, sharing results and much more.
From which is the healthiest breakfast cereal ………..to how many times do we blink in a day ……….to how many of our birthdays fall on a Monday - the investigations were both challenging and educational.
We are very grateful to have the support of a proactive and dedicated P&C. Due to their generous support our junior students now have a wonderful space for role-play, quiet time, group work, reading and building. Additionally, they have a new Hex Tray and Stand for sand play and a Low Table for collaborative activities. Thanks Mr Carl for helping staff put it all together.
