📸 SCHOOL PHOTOS – WEDNESDAY 26TH AUGUST 📸

A final reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday) is the LAST opportunity to purchase new school uniforms, between 8:30am–9:00am.

🚫 No uniforms will be available to purchase on photo day.

Photos will be taken after lunch, so students are welcome to wear an old school shirt to school and change into their new/clean shirt ready for photos.

👕 Year 6 students – please bring both your senior shirt and regular school shirt for photos.

🧡 Kindy students to wear their orange Kindy shirt for their class photo.

💜 BRAVEHEARTS DAY DISCO! 💜

As part of our Bravehearts Day celebrations on Friday 11th September, we’ll be turning up the music and having a school disco! 🪩🎶

Students can come dressed as super heroes for the day and get ready to dance, have some fun and support a very important cause. 💜

Please note that there will be NO uniforms available for purchase on Wednesday 26th August – School Photo Day.

🧪🔬 ETHERIDGE EINSTEINS! 🔬🧪

What a brilliant morning our students had at the Etheridge Einsteins program at the Terrestrial Centre today!

Our budding scientists had a ball becoming Junior Geologists, Reaction Rangers, Water Wizards and Engineering Experts, as well as putting their observation skills to the test as Nature Detectives with a nature scavenger hunt. There were plenty of hands-on activities, experiments, discoveries and lots of excited faces along the way!

A HUGE thank you to Abbey, Andrea, Keira, Jason, Tamara and Josie for putting together such fantastic activities and experiments for our students. We really appreciate the time and effort that went into making the morning so engaging and fun.

Science Week Fun 🔬🧪

We had a blast celebrating National Science Week in the Kangaroos classroom! Students mixed egg white, bi carb soda and vinegar, creating an acid-base reaction that solidified with the egg whites and released carbon dioxide gas that had students running.
We also tried the famous Mentos and Coke experiment, to see which would shoot higher (Diet or Normal Coke). It didn’t quite reach the heights students predicted, but it certainly gave us plenty of laughs!

This week is National Science Week, with the theme “Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All.” 🌱

Our Kindy students have been busy exploring and investigating. We have been observing the growth of our sunflower seeds, experimenting with bicarb soda and vinegar, investigating what sinks and floats, and using our Bee-Bots to develop problem-solving and sequencing skills.
