The performance/rehearsal room is spacious, featuring reverse cycle heating/cooling, a comfy leather lounge and bathroom. Rehearsal and recording rates include use of all Shure and Sennheiser pro microphones, Auralex drum, guitar and bass amp isolation risers, Gibraltar Perspex Drum Shield and a Mackie 16 channel PA with FX. We also have a large range of extra equipment available for on-site hire in both recording and rehearsal modes. We offer excellent value rehearsal rates, starting as low as $30 for a four-hour session for solo artists. We also tailor recording packages to suit all situations and budgets. We also offer guitar, bass and drum lessons in the comfort of the performance room. Owner and operator Paul Andrews takes great pride in the personal atmosphere on offer at Smokestack Studios; our clients love the feeling of getting out of the city and enjoying some time away where they can focus on their work, whether they’re just having a jam, a structured rehearsal or recording. The studios are spotlessly clean, our equipment sounds fantastic and is in perfect working order at all times. The room is very comfortable with an Italian leather lounge and the highest quality heating and air-con for any weather conditions.
