🌟Team Tuesday🌟
Introducing our Geelong West Bandicoot Team Leader Emerald πŸ’β€β™€οΈπŸ‘Έ

I have worked at Federation Children for 2 and a half years now and absolutely love being part of the early years of children’s lives. I especially enjoy watching children grow in confidence, develop their independence and discover the world around them.

I’m passionate about creating play based learning experiences that follow children’s interests and give them opportunities to explore, experiment and learn at their own pace. Building strong, genuine relationships with children and families is something I really value, as I believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported and understood.

Outside of work I am a busy mum of three, so life is always full!

I am very proud to be part of the team here at Federation Children and look forward to continuing to grow, learn and make a difference alongside the children, families and educators I work with πŸ’›

🌟Team Tuesday🌟
Introducing our Geelong West 4 year old Teacher, Educational Leader and German Teacher Rachael πŸ‘ΈπŸ’β€β™€οΈ

I have worked as an Early Childhood Teacher for the past eight years and absolutely love what I do. I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside children during such an important stage of their development and to support them as they grow in confidence, independence and their understanding of the world around them.

My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that children are capable, curious and active participants in their own learning. I value a play based approach that allows children to explore their interests, develop their own ideas and learn alongside others, while using intentional teaching to extend their thinking, challenge their capabilities and support them to reach their individual potential.

I believe some of the most meaningful learning occurs when educators take the time to truly listen to children, recognise what is important to them and use their voices, interests and ideas to shape the curriculum. Experiences such as Mindful Minutes, our German curriculum, Bush Kinder, creative projects, nature exploration and child led investigations allow children to learn through hands on experiences while developing confidence, persistence, curiosity and a strong sense of agency.

Beyond the classroom my proudest achievements include my daughter Madelyn and my husband Dylan. Together we have built an incredible life in Geelong and love being apart of such an amazing community.

🌟Team Tuesday🌟
Introducing our Newtown Assistant Director Aleisha πŸ’β€β™€οΈπŸ‘Έ

I have been working in Early Childhood Education for 6 years now. I am Diploma qualified and have worked as a Team Leader and Assistant Director for 4 years.

I aspired to work with children at a young age, particularly around the time my cousin’s children were born. I am now a proud auntie too! Being able to watch them all grow and learn so much in their earliest years of life definitely inspired me to pursue a career within the industry.

I believe every child deserves a rich, engaging, and joyful learning experience that encourages them to step beyond their comfort zones and explore new possibilities. I am committed to providing all children with equal opportunities to learn, grow, and achieve their developmental milestones through play, discovery, and meaningful experiences.

Building strong, collaborative partnerships with families is central to my practice. I value open communication and shared goals to ensure the best outcomes for each child. I particularly enjoy supporting children in outdoor environments, where physical activity becomes a powerful tool for learning, exploration, and most importantly fun!

Children continually inspire me with their curiosity, resilience, and creativity. Their growth motivates me to reflect, learn, and strive to be the best person I can be both professionally and personally.

Outside of work you will find me on the netball court, spending quality time with my family and friends as well as enjoying a cuddle from my ragdoll cat Maud. 😁🐈

The children enjoyed connecting with nature, exploring the beautiful gardens and discovering all the wonderful things the natural environment has to offer. From observing plants and insects to engaging in hands on exploration, there were plenty of opportunities for curiosity, learning and wonder. πŸ›πŸƒπŸ”

Outdoor learning encourages children to ask questions, build confidence, develop a sense of belonging and deepen their connection with the world around them. πŸ’š

What a beautiful day of learning and exploring together! 🌿✨
