Sticky Fingers Cooking School

Just a quick note to advise that we are closing the doors to Sticky Fingers temporarily. 2020 was a tough year all round, but if anything came out of it, it was reevaluating the priorities in our lives. So while I focus on some personal goals, the doors will be closed and we will not be taking enquiries. We wish all of our students the best of luck and we hope to be back one day teaching the love of cooking again!

Another update from the Sticky Fingers team.... unfortunately given the current situation, we are unable to open next week as planned. Keep an eye on this page for further updates on when we are able to re-open. In the meantime keep enjoying all that iso-baking! We’d love to see some more pictures!

A bit of an update from us here at Sticky Fingers….

It has been a difficult couple of months all round, but we hope to resume our Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday After School Classes in the week beginning the 13th July, given more restrictions are lifted between now and then. I will be in touch with all of our Term 1 students in the coming weeks to confirm enrolment.

Please note however, we will not be taking any birthday party bookings until the end of 2020, possibly beyond this date. And we will not be running any School Holiday Classes for the upcoming July Holidays.

I hope you’re all surviving isolation! Like many others I have entered Nanna mode, and have started making preserves. I had an abundance of rhubarb in the garden and whipped up this rhubarb chutney over the weekend... perfect with a slice of vintage cheese and crackers 👌🏻 We would love to see all of your iso-baking projects, post your pictures in the comments below!

With a lot of extra time on my hands over the coming weeks after suspending all classes, I thought I could put it to good use!
If you need any help with any of the following due to self-isolation, please get in touch and feel free to pass these details on, particularly to the elderly. To be clear I expect absolutely nothing in return!

- STATEMENT -
Due to the current health crisis hitting the country, we have made the difficult decision to suspend all after school cooking classes until further notice. We have made this decision to protect our students, ourselves and our families and not to mention we are finding it harder and harder to source ingredients due to panic buying.
At this stage we will plan to commence classes again in the week of the 20th April, but as the situation is fluid, this may change.
Further to this, we will not be running any school holiday classes for the April School Holiday period. And if you have confirmed birthday party bookings within the next 3 weeks, I will be in touch to discuss options in the next few days.
I will be using this time off to put some work into the business and we will be back bigger and better on the other side of this crisis. We will need all the support we can get when we return. Stay safe everyone and thanks for your support!

If anyone aged 7-12 would like to join us from 4:30pm - 6pm Wednesday at the Vines Road Community Centre, Hamlyn Heights to make some delicious Peach Galettes, please send through a private message before 3pm Wednesday. $25 for the class.

Over 60 eggs were cracked in the Sticky Fingers Kitchen this week and one student was lucky enough to find a double yolker! @ Geelong, Victoria
