Talent representation The Artist Group Talent Agency. Formerly known as Parallax Dance Company, PARALLAX PERFORMING ARTS officially renamed itself in 2017 to better encapsulate the wide array of programs that the school offers and to enable our students to access a more well-rounded and technique-based performance-focused training. Parallax officially opened its doors at the start of 2007 by Artistic Director Jordan Punsalang, it has since independently produced more than 50 full-length dance productions and singing showcases. Alumni and current members of the company have landed roles in various professional musical theatre productions, opera, and live theatre:

Past and present members have been or are:
- cast in professional dance shows (corporate, cruise lines, film and TV)
- landed jobs as models in commercials as well as actors (online, print, television, music videos)
- passed the rigorous auditions in VCASS, WAAPA and VCA
- accepted in full-time dance schools
- and forged their own professional careers either as a dance teacher, a choreographer or a performer in Australia and overseas. Parallax members have also participated in various community events - Australia Day Festival Of Sails, SplashDance Festivals, Short Circuit series and local theatre productions. Parallax Performing Arts has cemented itself as the leading performing arts studio in the Geelong region. At the start of 2021, the performing arts program has come under the banner of Parallax Creatives Space.

Highlight of last Friday night’s Parallax mid-year mini showcase…ONSTAGE 2026

The beauty of this show is that none of the performers know that they’ll be in it until 2 weeks before the show.

To break a long Term 2 of classes, I usually ask Fritzie who among our students are performance-ready and available, and what acts can be put together or performed.

It wasn’t until Wednesday that I finalised the repertoire. I haven’t seen all the acts at this point but trusted that our students will deliver.

We came together for the first time on Thursday, which was the only rehearsal. It was our first time running the show.

Then Friday…was showtime. And boy did they deliver.

The work ethic, attitude and talent that everyone showed were on full display.

To say that I’m proud of everyone is an understatement.

Congratulations everyone. Big thank you to all the performers, parents, and everyone who supported the show. Esp our usual team - Fritzie, Ben (plus Henry and Zanda), Jen, and Aunty Ging.
