🌿🚌Excursion to Geelong Botanical Gardens

Our 4yo kinder children had a fantastic day exploring the Geelong Botanical Gardens. The adventure began with an exciting bus ride, which the children thoroughly enjoyed as they travelled with their friends🎶

During the excursion, the children became little scientists as they explored the beautiful gardens with their very own magnifying glasses, where they closely observing plants, insects, fruits, seeds, and worms throughout the gardens. They learned about how plants grow, discovered the seeds inside different fruits, and explored the important role worms play in maintaining healthy soil and supporting the ecosystem🐛

The children also participated in a hands on planting experience, where they learned how to plant and care for seedlings. This engaging activity helped foster a deeper understanding of nature and the environment🪴

The excursion supported learning outcomes by encouraging curiosity, investigation, and discovery, while developing the children's understanding of ecosystems and living things. It also strengthened their observation, communication, and problem solving skills through meaningful, real world experiences.

It was a wonderful day filled with excitement, learning, and exploration, and we are so proud of the enthusiasm and curiosity our young learners showed throughout the excursion🌱😊

The children in older toddler room have been fascinated by one of their educator’s horses; Bear, Charlie, Digit, and Cosmo. After enjoying photos, stories, and videos of the horses, they began creating their own farm world⭐️

Together, they made felt horse rugs (pyjamas), rainbow stables, hay feeders, feed buckets, and even a swimming pool for the 🐴 Once it was completed, they were excited to set everything up on the farm table and bring their ideas to life✨

Through this project, the children developed their creativity, fine motor skills, problem solving abilities, communication skills, and understanding of caring for animals while working collaboratively with their peers.

What a wonderful example of children's interests leading meaningful learning experiences🐎💚

🍃 Nature Collaboration for Reconciliation Week

Children in 3yo kinder came together to create a beautiful collaborative artwork using natural treasures collected from our outdoor environment, including leaves, sticks, flowers, and bark🌿

As they worked, they shared thoughtful ideas about friendship, kindness, community, caring for Country, and what makes Australia special.

Their voices shone through in meaningful discussions and creative contributions, with one child proudly sharing, “Australia at the top with the leaves!” 🇦🇺🍃

This special experience encouraged teamwork, creativity, and respect for one another while helping children build a deeper connection to nature and an appreciation for the importance of Reconciliation.

What a beautiful afternoon we shared celebrating Mother’s & Special People’s Day 💐

This month, we were delighted to welcome around 50 families to join us for a special afternoon tea filled with love, laughter, creativity, and connection. It was wonderful to see families spending quality time together and creating precious memories with their children.

Each room had meaningful activities set up for families to enjoy together, including flower pasting, rock painting, heart shaped tag creations, and air dry clay art. The smiles, conversations, and little hands busy creating made the day truly special.

We also had some very special interactive sections that brought plenty of laughter, warmth, and connection throughout the event. Families enjoyed sharing in:
💌“A Little Note: Mom to Mom”
😂 “Mom Life: Things I’d Never Thought I Would Say”
👜 “What’s in My Mom’s Bag?”

These thoughtful and humorous displays gave everyone the chance to share encouragement, funny parenting moments, and hear the beautiful voices and perspectives of the children☺️

Our photo booth was another highlight of the afternoon, capturing many beautiful memories for families to cherish for years to come 📸✨

A heartfelt thank you to all the mums, grandparents, carers, and special people in our children’s lives. Your endless love, support, care, and guidance make such a difference every single day. We appreciate everything you do and loved celebrating you all.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the afternoon so memorable 💕

4yo kinders have transformed their learning space into an exciting mission control centre🛰️

Inspired by their own amazing ideas such as rockets, robots, jet packs, and space suits where the room is now buzzing with imagination. With screens showing astronauts and galaxies, plus keyboards and clipboards for mark making, children are diving into exciting space adventures every day🛸

As part of their learning, the children also watched the launch of Artemis to the moon bringing real life space exploration into the classroom🌕🚀

From teamwork to storytelling, it’s been amazing to see their communication and collaboration take off as they explore their roles in space🌌🧑‍🚀

Once a month, our 4yo kinder children enjoy a special excursion to our local aged care centre.

Along the way, they build confidence, road safety awareness, and a sense of teamwork. During their visit, they share songs, stories, and smiles with senior residents while developing empathy, communication skills, and respect for others.

These beautiful intergenerational moments help our children feel connected to their community while learning the joy of kindness and belonging😌

The children in Classroom 3 (young toddler room) enjoyed a hands on sensory experience making ANZAC cookies🍪 From scooping and pouring to mixing and exploring textures, every moment was filled with curiosity and joy.

This activity supported early learning in so many ways such as developing fine motor skills, encouraging sensory exploration, and introducing simple concepts like cause and effect. The children also practiced social skills by engaging alongside their peers and educators in a shared experience.

We love seeing one of our youngest learners explore, discover, and have fun through play based experience 😊

Today we would like to introduce the newest addition to our centre, Taco.

Taco is a Mexican axolotl belonging to one of our community members and will be staying with us for a few months while their owner completes house renovations. We feel very lucky to have this special guest in our care✨

The children fell in love with Taco instantly. Each morning, they enjoy greeting both Murray the turtle and Taco, making it a lovely part of their daily routine🫶 It’s been heartwarming to see Taco and Murray also become gentle companions.

Taco has inspired creativity and kindness, with children and their older siblings writing notes, drawing pictures, and placing them on the tank.

Having animals in our environment supports children’s wellbeing by nurturing empathy, responsibility, and curiosity. Taco brings a sense of calm, joy, and connection, creating meaningful learning experiences for everyone😊
