🌟 Everyday Play = Everyday Joy

Our children have spent their days immersed in the simple magic of play — building, imagining, creating, exploring, and sharing moments that make childhood shine. Their happy faces said it all as they moved through the room with confidence, curiosity, and delight.

From quiet corners to busy group spaces, play opened endless opportunities for learning, problem‑solving, teamwork, and self‑expression. Whether it was constructing towers, role‑playing stories, experimenting with materials, or simply enjoying time with friends, each moment was filled with joy and discovery.

Every day brings new adventures, new smiles, and new chances to learn through play!

📚✨ Reading Adventures Every Day

Our learning spaces have been buzzing with stories, curiosity, and imagination as children dive into a wide variety of books — from animals and science to feelings, friendships, and far‑off places. Each book opens a new doorway for learning, helping children broaden their knowledge and explore topics that spark their interest.

Reading has taken many forms throughout the week:
- Group reading where children share ideas, listen to others, and enjoy stories together
- Individual reading where they choose their own book, find a cosy spot, and get lost in the pages

Whether they’re discovering new facts, following a storyline, or simply enjoying quiet time with a favourite book, every reading moment builds confidence, language skills, and a lifelong love of learning.📚✨

🌈🔬 Science Week Sparks Wonder!

Our children became mini‑scientists, diving into a world of bubbling volcanos, colour‑jumping magic, and curious experiments that turned questions into discoveries.

From the moment the materials were set out, imaginations switched on. The children made brave predictions — “Will it explode?”, “Will the colours mix?”, “What if it grows?” — and then watched with wide eyes as their ideas came to life right in front of them.

Science Week reminded us that learning is at its best when it’s hands‑on, messy, and full of wonder. Our curious thinkers explored, experimented, and discovered — proving once again that their imagination is the most powerful tool of all ✨

📚💛 Our Library Adventures

There’s something truly special about our visits to Corio Library! The excitement of choosing new stories to read, the joy of seeing the lovely librarians who welcome us so warmly, and the way our children light up when they join in with the group activities.

These visits help us build strong community connections, spark curiosity, and grow confident little book‑lovers who can’t wait to turn the next page. We’re so grateful for this partnership and the meaningful moments it brings to our learning program.

As you arrive each day, don’t forget to take a peek at our front gate information board — it’s our little hub of helpful updates designed to keep families connected, informed and supported.

You’ll find important dates, upcoming centre events, community happenings, and details about local support services that may be helpful for your family. We update the board regularly so you always have quick access to what’s happening both within our centre and across our wider community.

It’s a simple way to stay in the loop, discover new opportunities, and feel even more connected to the wonderful community around us.

Science Week Fun 🧪

Perth kicked off Science Week with lots of curiosity, predictions and hands-on discovery! The children explored sink or float, discussing whether our heavier bouncy ball or lighter ping-pong ball would sink or float before putting their ideas to the test. The children then investigated magnetism, talking about which objects the magnet might connect to and which it wouldn’t, before using a horseshoe magnet to move magnetic objects through the water.

Their learning extended naturally through the children’s own interests when one child decided he wanted to weigh his monster trucks, placing each truck onto the scales and comparing them to see which was heavier or lighter.

It was a wonderful start to the week, encouraging the children to predict, compare, question, experiment and discover through play.

✨Educator of the Month ✨

Perth has truly stepped it up in July. The team has created an engaging, exciting environment where children feel happy, supported and eager to explore every day. Their team communication has strengthened, with clear updates shared between educators and with families, helping everyone feel connected and informed.

The learning experiences offered have been thoughtful, intentional and full of joy — a reflection of the team’s commitment to quality practice and collaboration. The room feels alive with curiosity, creativity and warmth, and the children are thriving because of it.

Congratulations to our Perth educators for being July’s Educators of the Month. Your hard work, teamwork and passion are making a real difference.

Today our centre proudly joined thousands of Australians in supporting Red Nose Day — a day dedicated to raising awareness and vital funds for the prevention of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and other causes of infant loss.

The children and educators loved getting involved, wearing red noses, sharing conversations, and learning that even small actions can help make a big difference. By participating, we’re helping fund lifesaving research, support services for families, and education programs that work to ensure every child has the safest start in life.

Red Nose Day reminds us that when communities come together, hope grows stronger. Thank you to all our families for being part of this important cause. ❤️

Today our centre proudly took part in Jeans for Genes Day, with children and educators wearing their favourite denim to raise awareness for the Children’s Medical Research Institute. This special day reminds us that every child deserves the chance to grow, learn and thrive — and that genetic research plays a vital role in helping kids with serious illnesses live healthier futures.

Our educators sparked conversations with the children about helping others, kindness and community, turning a simple dress‑up day into meaningful learning. The room was filled with blue, smiles and plenty of excitement as everyone joined in to support a cause that makes a real difference.

Thank you to our families for embracing Jeans for Genes Day with us. Together, we’re helping create brighter futures for children everywhere. 💙
