To celebrate Children's Book Week for 2026 - there will be a Book Week Parade held next Friday, 28th August in front of the library at 9:15am to show off all the costumes and create a 'Symphony of Stories'.

Congratulations to Millie, Shaayan and Harry (Grade 6) for being shortlisted for the Order of Australia Association, Barwon Regional, Primary School Citizenship Awards for 2026. They will attend an afternoon in August, whereby they will present to members of this organisation about developing pride in Australian citizenship and their understanding of citizenship itself. We wish them all the best for this, and we're very proud of their effort in being shortlisted. Well done to other students for their applications and giving their very best in the awards process.

A huge congratulations to the amazing Molly (Gr4), who competed this week in the State Cross Country event in Keilor. This is a great achievement that required qualification via the school, district, division and regional events.
Molly represented Chilwell PS brilliantly and we are so proud of her achievement to reach the State Cross Country level.

Alumni Chilwell student, Daniel (now 14), is organising 'Dream Big', a benefit evening on July 10 to raise funds for performing arts education scholarships as part of his not-for-profit business Casting Dreams. He has secured some incredible talent from across Geelong to perform and will also have some amazing raffle and auction items.
Daniel’s Casting Dreams venture has raised over 22 scholarships to make the Performing Arts accessible to all.
