Cultural Incursion

We had a wonderful time with Uncle Rob today, learning about Aboriginal culture, traditions and the importance of connecting with and caring for Country.

Throughout the experience, the children had the opportunity to listen, ask questions and explore different aspects of Aboriginal culture through meaningful, hands-on learning.

A big thank you to Uncle Rob for sharing his knowledge, stories and culture with our Cheeky Clouds children and educators. What a special learning experience!

Our Final Bush Kinder Adventure for 2026

Our very last Bush Kinder session of the year was spent exploring the rocky landscapes and beautiful natural surroundings of the You Yangs.

Throughout the day, the children embraced their final adventure, climbing over rocks, exploring their surroundings and reflecting on the many wonderful experiences and discoveries they have made throughout the year.

As we bring our Bush Kinder journey to a close, conversations have already begun among the children about what next year might bring. They are eagerly wondering what they might discover, what changes they will notice in the environment and how the landscape might look when they return.

What a wonderful year of exploring, discovering, taking risks and building meaningful connections with Country and the natural world around us.

On Country, we are inquisitive, we are explorers, we are adventurers.

Reflecting on Our Bush Kinder Journey

As our Bush Kinder sessions for the year begin to come to an end, the children have been reflecting on the wonderful experiences, discoveries and learning opportunities they have shared throughout the year.

To celebrate their Bush Kinder journey, the children worked together to create a special piece of artwork for our Kinder room, representing the things they have seen, explored and learnt during their time on Country.

Through their creativity, the children were able to revisit their favourite memories, share their knowledge of the natural environment and reflect on the many adventures that have shaped their learning.

This collaborative artwork will be a meaningful reminder of our Bush Kinder journey and the children's growing connection to Country, nature and the world around them.

Spring Gardening

Our spring garden has been planted, and the children are excited to care for our variety of seeds, seedlings and plants!

As we eagerly wait for new growth, the children are helping to water the garden and looking closely for any changes. Through caring for our plants, we are learning about patience, responsibility and what living things need to grow.

A huge thank you to Liz from Bubbles to Breath Swim School for teaching our little learners the foundations of water safety. We cannot wait to come back again next school holidays!

Today we kicked off our School Holiday Swimming Program at Bubbles to Breath!

The children had a fantastic first session, building their confidence in the water, practising new swimming skills and, most importantly, having lots of fun along the way.

We’re looking forward to seeing their confidence and skills continue to grow throughout the program!
