It is with great sadness that we share the news that our friend and fellow broadcaster, Leanne Watson, has passed away.
Leanne, who presented Rolling Through Wednesdays (2024–25) with Andrea, her trusty panel operator and support crew, will be greatly missed by everyone at The Pulse.
Not only did Leanne bring much-needed conversations about living with disability to our airwaves, sharing insights into accessibility, inclusion and the barriers people face, she also created a platform where people living with disability, their families and carers, and professionals working across the sector could share their stories, experiences, ideas and services with our community.
Her humour, realness, care and warmth gave her program a personality that perfectly matched her colourful outfits and statement earrings.
When illness meant she could no longer broadcast from the studio, Leanne turned to podcasting, continuing to share stories and amplify the voices of others with the same passion and determination.
Our thoughts are with Gary, Leanne’s family and loved ones, and everyone whose lives she touched.
Thank you, Leanne, for sharing your voice, your story and your generosity with our community. You will be missed.
