Yesterday, I helped a client work out how to use his laptop to use his CNC machine... and yes, I had to look up CNC, lol 😆

I have just finished a 10-lesson course with a client covering Windows, MS Word and MS Excel.

Given the increasing popularity of AI, and the number of companies that offer AI for all sorts of things, you might like to look at Perplexity, an AI-powered search engine https://www.perplexity.ai/ It is also available as an app for Android and iOS.

Perplexity Perplexity is a free AI-powered answer engine that provides accurate, trusted, and real-time answers to any question.

I teach French locally, and have found a great feature of AI companies such as ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini. That great feature is the ability to have a French conversation ie myself and my students can talk to it in French, ask it questions in French, and it replies in French.

No doubt, you would be able to do the same with other languages.

This is a great way to practice speaking and hearing a language one wants to learn, French in the case of my students.

If, like me, you like hiking/bush walking/cycling, then check out this Android/iOS app. It displays hiking and cycling routes over maps. Do a search for ORGANIC MAPS at either the PlayStore or the iStore.
