Take a tour of our Somerton Manufacturing & Warehouse Facility.

This facility supports the manufacturing of our standard and custom ISF (Industrial Safety Fencing) steel and stainless steel machine guarding systems designed to separate and protect pedestrians, machinery and infrastructure in line with AS/NZS 4024:2019.

Our manufacturing team has 10+ years of experience manufacturing the product and working alongside projects ranging from singular machine enclosures to large-scale industrial facilities.

The manufacturing encompasses:

• Welded mesh, polycarbonate, and sheet metal panels;
• Cantilever and infill panels;
• Hinged, cantilever sliding and overhead sliding doors;
• Standard and light curtain posts; and
• Stainless steel systems for food, pharmaceutical and hygiene-critical environments.

With additional in-house design and installation capabilities, Barrier Group ISF Machine Guarding can be custom configured to suit unique layouts and operational demands while maintaining visibility and controlled access.

BARWON TIMBER, a leading supplier of timber products, engaged Barrier Group to design, manufacture and install a partitioning system within their facility.

Following an initial on-site inspection conducted by a dedicated Barrier Group Account Manager, key requirements included:

- Preventing reach through, reach over and reach under from active sawmill machinery; and
- Restricting unauthorised access to designated storage areas and facility entrances.

The full scope of the safety fit-out included:

✅ ISF Welded Mesh Machine Guard Panels with matching Mesh Swing Gates to provide a secure, durable, and highly visible enclosure; and
✅ PortaGuard Maxi Expandable Doorway Barriers to offer controlled access in and around the facility, including near the active machinery.

Working with Barrier Group to design, manufacture and install, made for a seamless specification process from site inspection through to sign-off. The Barrier Group signature turn-key process delivered a quick turnaround with minimal operational downtime for the client.

EB Games Morayfield in Brisbane, Queensland, engaged Barrier Group to help protect its storefront from potential ram-raid incidents, with the store located adjacent to a high-traffic shopping centre car park.

A tailored solution was designed to provide robust vehicle impact protection while complementing the existing EB Games branding.

The installation features custom powder-coated bollards finished in gloss blue, creating a practical barrier between vehicles, pedestrians and the building entrance without compromising the appearance of the storefront.

With vehicle-based incidents continuing to present a challenge for businesses, purpose-designed bollard systems can provide an additional layer of protection for buildings, assets and people.

Symal, one of Australia's leading construction engineering companies, recently collaborated with Barrier Group to implement a comprehensive safety solution across its construction recycling hub.

Following a dedicated on-site assessment by a Barrier Group Account Manager, a tailored fit-out was designed to manage pedestrian movement, control vehicle interaction, and protect key assets across the facility.

The solution included:
✅ Dock-Safe-Q Barrier System – Deployed to separate pedestrians from the warehouse pit area.
✅ Pilot Wall-Mount Brackets & Hi-Line Posts – Used to block off pedestrian walkways and establish temporary exclusion zones where and when required.
✅ W-Beam Guardrail – Installed to provide heavy-duty structural protection around the water tank in a high-traffic vehicle operation zone.
✅ NoWeld Modular Guardrail & Ball-Fence Swing Gates – High-visibility swing gates installed at all key entry and exit points, prompting pedestrians to check for oncoming vehicle traffic before accessing active areas throughout the site.
