👨🍳✨ Meet Our Trainer: Will Manning
From Auckland to Michelin-starred restaurants across England, Canada, and Australia, Will Manning's hospitality career has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Throughout his career, Will has worked in prestigious kitchens, cooked aboard luxury superyachts, catered for celebrities, and successfully owned and operated hospitality businesses. Today, he brings that wealth of experience to The Gordon, where he has spent the past five years inspiring and mentoring the next generation of hospitality professionals.
🌏 This year, Will travelled to Indonesia in both July and August, delivering Food Safety training units to participants overseas. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with participants praising his practical industry knowledge, engaging teaching style, and passion for helping others succeed.
🥖 One of Will's proudest achievements is establishing The Gordon Bakehouse, an inclusive training environment where students develop baking techniques, confidence, teamwork skills, and valuable industry experience.
🏆 Recently nominated for the Victorian Training Awards Teacher of the Year, Will is recognised not only for his expertise but also for his commitment to creating supportive learning environments that help students realise their potential.
❤️ Outside the classroom, Will is a proud dad, enjoys living a healthy and active lifestyle, and remains deeply passionate about food, cookery, and sharing his knowledge with aspiring chefs. He believes in staying curious, embracing every learning opportunity, working hard, and respecting the craft.
