Northern Bay P-12 College

Students at our Hendy Campus recently had the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on with science! 🧪🔬

Hands on Science visited the campus to deliver an exciting Reactive Chemistry incursion, where students explored what happens when different liquids and solids are combined.

There were plenty of fascinating reactions to observe and document, including bubbling, hissing, colour changes, and even changes in temperature as substances became hotter or colder.

It was a fun and engaging way for our students to explore the wonders of science through experimentation and discovery!
Students across the other campuses will get their turn this week and next.

Australian Association Junior Citizenship Awards

Congratulations to Summah from Peacock Campus and Pearl from Wexford Campus, who proudly represented Northern Bay College at the Australian Association Junior Citizenship Awards.

While Northern Bay College didn’t take home an award this time, both students represented our College wonderfully and should be incredibly proud of their efforts. 🌟

🏐 Year 7 Interschool Volleyball

Congratulations to our amazing Year 7 Girls Volleyball team on an outstanding effort at the District Interschool Volleyball Competition held at Corio Leisure Centre! 👏🏐

Our girls were undefeated, winning their pool before going on to win both the semi-final and grand final — without losing a single set! 🏆🔥

What an incredible achievement! Well done, girls! We are so proud of you! 👏💙

🌟 Student Leaders Building Connections! 🌟

Our Tallis Student Leaders — Poppy, Fatima, Lucky and Maddie — recently visited our neighbouring kindergarten to spend some special time with our youngest learners. 💛

Over the course of an hour, our leaders enjoyed playing, chatting, reading stories and building connections with the Kinder children. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to demonstrate kindness, responsibility and leadership, while creating a positive and memorable experience for the children.

It was clear that everyone had a fantastic time, and our Student Leaders are already looking forward to their next visit! 📚✨

What a wonderful example of leadership and community connection in action! 💙

🎨 Northern Bay Creatives 2026 – Opening Night 🎨

The Northern Bay College Arts team is excited to invite you to the opening night of Northern Bay Creatives 2026, a new exhibition celebrating the creativity and achievements of our talented NBC alumni from the past eight years.

The exhibition features a diverse range of artists and designers who are actively working in the community, building their networks and developing their creative careers. Visitors will be able to experience a wide variety of mediums, materials and creative practices.

🎶 Live music by local band Windrush will also feature on the opening night.

A costume can be as simple as using clothes already at home, making a small prop, or wearing a favourite colour that represents a character. Creativity is far more important than buying a costume, and there is absolutely no expectation for families to purchase or make anything elaborate.
Most importantly, we look forward to seeing our students celebrating books, stories, and their love of reading. We can't wait to see the wonderful characters they bring to life!
