Today it was wet weather so we made blue carrot cake! 🥕🍰👨‍🍳 Baking is a great activity for language development, extending fine motor skills, problem solving and creativity.

Today we talked about colours!

Drawing on a blank piece of paper is a great way for children to use their imagination and creativity, as well as building pride and self confidence!

Drawing also helps with the development of fine motor skills as well as hand-eye coordination as they learn to control their finger grip and movement to the ideas they are expressing.

Easter plaster painting fun this morning! 🐰🐣🌈✨I can't believe it's April as of tomorrow! I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter break 🍂

When children play with puzzles, they begin to learn how to use strategies and recognise how small pieces can create a larger picture, whilst using their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to turn and manoeuvre the pieces to fit in their place. This is also a great activity for learning patience!

Bead mazes are great for the recognition of colours, hand-eye coordination as well as learning to grasp and manipulate the beads along the wire.

I started working in the childcare industry in 2017 and have found it as a passion. I find it so rewarding to play a part in helping children learn and develop life long skills by implementing activities and experiences based on their interests and current developmental needs! I have experience as room leader in a childcare setting as well as experience from 0 years up to primary school age.
Recently I have I decided to branch out and begin to build my own babysitting business for both casual and permanent hours.
