We are All In this National Reconciliation Week 🖤💛❤️

At Geelong West Kindergarten, we have been exploring, listening, and learning together. We also worked together using our hand prints to create art.

Reconciliation takes action, and by teaching our children respect, empathy, and connection to Country, we are building a kinder, more inclusive future together.

Blast off! 🚀🤖 Our kindergarten classroom transformed into a space station this week as we welcomed the spectacular "Rockets and Robots" incursion from Melbourne Museum for our 4 year old groups.

It was a fantastic hands-on, play-based learning opportunity that completely captivated our future astronauts and engineers. Big thanks to the amazing team at Museums Victoria for such an unforgettable STEM adventure! 🌟🪐✨

A huge THANK YOU to all our wonderful mums who visited our 4 Year Old Kinder Pamper Parlour! 💅✨ Our little salon teams had the best time treating you to a moment of rest and relaxation. We hope you felt the love 🥰

It is wonderful to see so many of our kids taking advantage of the warm autumn days 🍁. Riding or scooting to kindergarten is more than just fun. 🧠✨ Starting the day with fresh air and active travel helps our children arrive alert, happy, and ready to learn and play.

We are also practicing our scooter skills at kindergarten this term and have ‘constructed’ a road for our two and three wheel scooters to zip along.

Our 4 year old kinder children loved participating in Mr Ants' creative show - The Great Recycling Adventure, using props made from recycled materials—showing how reusing everyday items can help care for our environment. Sustainability in action!

Thank you to everyone that volunteered at our working bee! Our biggest achievement was moving over 60 wheelbarrows of mulch. This special mulch is used to create a soft landing under all our play equipment. 🐝🏡🪏🧑‍🌾💪
