Hey everyone,

Over the last few weeks, the leadership team at Gawler Uniting Church has been praying and discerning what the future of United Youth Gawler looks like. Unfortunately, with great sadness, it has been decided that the best course of action is to close the Youth group at the end of this term.
This youth group has been a blessing to all of us leaders, past and present, helping to develop us as people and followers of God; and we trust it has done the same for the youth as well. What started as an outlandish dream turned into a thriving youth network spanning multiple churches; and we couldn’t be more grateful. We couldn’t have created this network without your support and commitment to this youth group. So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

But although this is a time of sadness, it is also a time of celebration and joy. We are all excited to see what God has in store for all of the youth; we’re filled with hope as to what God has planned for each one of you! We pray that the memories forged from this group will carry you through your Christian journey, wherever it may take you.

Exciting news!! This week is our UY Night!! We’ll be headed up to Two Wells Uniting Church to team up with the rest of the Network to have Christmas in August!!
Leaders will be unable to transport youth, so making your own way there for a 6:30 start would be much appreciated! Pick-up at 9pm 😁

It’s gonna be an awesome night, so make sure you bring a friend!!

Hope you’ve all had a relaxing holiday and an awesome start back at school! And now that school’s back: so is Youth Group!! This term we’ll be making our way through the video series, Alpha, so get keen!!

We’re super keen for UY Night THIS FRIDAY!! We’re going to be linking up with the rest of the United Youth Network at Parafield Gardens Uniting Church for a great night of fellowship and worship!!

Many of our leaders are helping to run the event, so it would be helpful if you could please drop off and pick up your young person from Parafield Gardens Uniting Church for a 6:30 start and 9:00 finish. If you have no other options, transport can be provided from Gawler no later than 6pm. Contact either Ashlee or Alec to save you a seat. If you don’t contact to save a seat, then there might not be one for you.

We appreciate your co-operation, and hope to see as many young people there as possible!!
